My favorite. Unfortunately they wont be celebrating 70 year's so I don't think we will see it next year.
I was kind of hoping they would do special liveries for the American side of the Team as well. Brumos and Sunoco (for example) livery would have been nice as a hat's off to the teams that have competed on that side of the pond and have contributed to Porsche's racing success over the years.

P.S. Today is the birthday of the 356 No.1

Spark will do presentation versions, which may not have any updated bodywork for 2018. Best waiting closer to the end of the year and getting a more accurate one

The ACO has finally released the footage of that Gimmi Bruni pole lap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wf0y6-21q4
It's amazing how how late he brakes and how he just nails the throttle before the apices. The there's the speed through the Porsche Curves...

I went to the race, the car looks great in person, the diffuser is the big difference between 991.1. Also got my attention that the car almost make no sound when compared to the GT3s Cup... really quiet. Don't know if it was too muffled on purpose. It still had the flat-6 sound but you couldn't hear it coming as it happens with the Cups.

I've just made this video of a full lap around the Portimao track of this car, hope you like it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4-je9uxycM

The full quality pictures can be found in this gallery, if you want to check or zoom the car and its parts: https://www.flickr.com/photos/150560...57698074719201

I've several more up-close pictures of the car that I haven't included in the gallery, if you're interested in a certain part of it let me know and I'll upload it.

Looks like he got a nice slipstream from the Ligier and especially the Ferrari. Probably partly explains the big difference between 1st and 2nd in GTE-Pro qualifying.

Nothing egregious for sure. But he's outside the "track" at T2, Tertre Rouge exit, Mulsanne Corner exit, and Porsche Curves exit. If Arnage didn't have the guard rail right at the track limit, he would have been outside there too .

It was a good lap, just noting that lots of small contributing factors like mentioned above, the best BOP in class (but not by 3 seconds...), in addition to using all of the road and a little more led to an amazing laptime.

True enough, but as I say, nothing that was really unusual at this years Le Mans. It seems to lurch one way and the other from year to year. One year Eduardo seems to clamp down hard on track limits violations, the next is light touch.....

?? He never went all four wheels off anywhere. Every car in the race runs over the kerbs at Dunlop, Tertre Rouge, Mulsanne Corner.

No "GT3-Prototypes" like the 991.2 are only allowed 6 Lap Stints in the VLN 2018

I wonder what the thought process is in splitting up the regular season guys for Le Mans? Or will this mimic their WEC rosters?
