In case of any ambiguity, I for one thought Felipe took absolutely the right approach to race Fernando in this motor race.

Hmm. Vettel is a very strong driver in by far the best car. He'd have to do better than he did (only 15s ahead?) to get DOTR.

Hamilton. You seem to be implying his driving is the problem, not the fact his car was slower than the RBR. That doesn't seem fair to me. It looked like he got the max out of that Macca today. I can't see anyone else in the field (apart from Vettel) doing as well in that car.

I too was pleased to see the Ferrari drivers being allowed to race for once. I stop short of praising Ferrari for it though, as it's only what they should do all the time anyway.

Actually they were not, Ferrari ruined Massa's pitstop once more.

That is terrible, horrible accident RIP Dan Wheldon!

Vettel for me in the race, great pass in first lap and dominant from there.

Hamilton and Webber for a good dice without contact. Well done!

Like lapping the Safety Car? Or doing a coffee break in between and still pulling out a minute?

He probably could have been further ahead, but why should he? After all, he does not get additional points for lapping everyone, so once comfortably in control, why should he keep pushing? Strange thoughts on here sometimes.

Yeah I agree with you completely. Vettel was able to pull out a gap of about 10 seconds before the safety car and then do the same thing afterwards. Why push the machinery so hard? I mean he even done the fastest lap on the last lap, which really he shouldn't of done. Vettel is easier on his tyres than his teammate and still manages to pull out a lead, what more do you want from a racing driver?

The fact that the car is good enough that he was able to do it (Don't get me wrong - great driver) means that Algesuari's drive is all the more impressive in comparison.

JMHO of course.

Because you still need a good driver to take advantage of a good car? With the best will in the world, MW isn't as good as Vettel or Hamilton.

He was able to get past (and gap once in clean air) the McLaren before DRS kicked in.

vettel for me. chasing history is his goal and i must admit that this is one of the few things piquing my interest for the remaining races.

i know this has been beaten to death in so many other threads but i feel compelled to add to Mr. V's response.

really he cant win.

it must be added that during their respective second stints, Massa was on the primes and Alonso on the softs.

all things being equal (same car same engine) if Alonso couldn't pass with DRS enabled and the faster compound we need to be asking what was wrong with Alonso here not questioned Massa's place in the team.

i dont know why but i feel an affinity for Massa!
