Gee with all the "accessories" the car is back up around $600K. Wow what a surprise. And gee, all parts are pricey, especially with that "indycar tax" on all the parts. What a surprise.

I remember back when I said to get one of those old dallaras rolling it was around $675K and people called me out like some heretic because they thought the car was around $400K. There is a difference between the basic chassis and actually having it fitted out ready to roll out on the race track.

Good story on the mess of the Aero-kits.

Flo aus N should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
According to John Beekuis and this video from IndyCar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM92_7LtdDE a a Front Wing is at 23.000$ and a Rear Wing at 30.000$ sold. (By Dallara of course)
An Aero-Kit includes Front Wing, Rear Wing, Air Box, Tire Ramps and all the Stuff around the Side Pods and costs you 75.000$. So, buying all that once from Dallara will cost you almost the same, if not more than 75.000$.

So why are the Teamowners against the Aero-Kits, if they cost you the same or are cheaper than all the parts from Dallara ?!?!?!? Or is it all about Teamowners vs. Bernard ?

And of course i wanna say hello to the hole Board

Welcome! I haven't the faintest idea. However, Beekhuis' numbers could be based on old CART prices. I know some people in IndyCar tend to like to use CART statistics to impress the casual fan. Don't know why JB would do that here though...

Well, teams do react for a reason. The reaction is to make a mountain out of a molehill but there's always a reason. If the kits where cheap they'd like it.

Personally, I'm indifferent to 'kits. The series is either multichassis or it isn't, just play it straight. Beyond myself the series is making promises on one of their big selling points and breaking them and doing it over again. Not good for series stability.
