They've started lapping on lap 3. Crikey, although expected with whopping 83 cars.

And the winners are… Drbob and Iain! And the SLR! And Jean Marc third in class very respectable for a pure amateur achieving his best lap doing the last of the race. Congratulations all of you !!!

Yes, what a grid- must be second in size only to the 6hrs at Spa. (And without GT40s ) After some nervous times after the engine problem at Monza, it was great to be able to share a glass of the bubbly stuff with the rest of the team last night! That’s John, the car owner, wife Catherine who is absolutely in charge on the pit wall, Simon and Richard spannering, Bill co-driving and me generally getting in the way...... P19 o/a, winner of GT3 and most important- 2nd in Under 2.5 litre category was a great result and should mean the SLR has won that championship again! No matter how many 26Rs they throw at us, the crude old pushrod Morgan can still cut it..... Great to see Dr Bob and Iain get a result in the Elite after the latter had to scour the paddock for a clutch plate Saturday morning, and just as great to see the most genuine family team of Anita, Bill and Will get another good finish in the giant killing 356. It’s very refreshing, in a paddock full of huge teams (some with several trucks and dozens of staff) to see them kicking ass...... So today, CER1 for us later. The B19 qualified 3rd in class, and is on course for a podium finish in it’s championship if all goes well. Which step of that podium depends on today, so fingers crossed again! Amazing that despite all the forecasts there was hardly a drop of rain during races yesterday. What chance of same again? |

Will did you ever think about having small "stickers" printed? Something like: CAUTION, a 356 is closer than appear in the mirror!
Jean Marc and I had a talk before he leaves the circuit last night. A really happy man. OK his car is the best you can have if you dont run a garage yourself but its impossible to challenge drivers like Minshaw, Stretton, Watson they are almost pros or semi pros. We are aware to be fighting in another category its a kind of David vs Goliath. Finish third is really fantastic. He just admitted last night that he was totally unable to achieve a fast lap in the wet at the moment. The paint is not dry as we say, I saw the invoice from the body shop only, enough to buy a nice car!! His best lap in the last seconds was a special dedicate to thank me for the remote coaching over the years. I do appreciate. Really moving. Kleenex anyone? |

You did great Robert, both of you. Glad you had a good time in France and a fantastic result too! By the way, did someone bring you back the missing part of your clutch disc? We heard about flying saucers last night in your area… Do you intend to bring it back to the supplier and ask for a refund?
