Awful. Completely false race. Is this what F1 has become?

It was anything but the predictathon I thought it was going to be, so an 8. I don't expect every race to be like today's that would be unrealistic but I hope the next few can be.

Awful. Worst race ever. F1 is dead. I'd rather watch paint dry. Why dont they let them race. zero. Predictible, Mercedes always win. etc.

I'm in the majority for a change: 8. If Verstappen had made a clean pass on Leclerc it would have been 9.

A decent race for once, actually Bahrain was also decent this season. Maybe LEC should be on pole at every GP

For the sake of inconsistenty in the stewarding I gave it a 1.
With a clean pass by Max or a consistent decision by the stewards (as in: same punishment for similar offenses) it would have gotten an 8. |

Which similar instances have gotten a penalty?
I remember other comings together at that corner that haven’t. Perhaps there are some that have? |

Thought about 10 but settled for 9.The comparison with the travesty at Paul Ricard made it seem even better. It goes to show what usually happens when Mercedes is pushed back into the pack.

Overall the track provided good entertainment due, I suspect, to being short. The Alfas and McLarens were very fiesty. 8 for me. |

Would have been a 9 if the Stewards hadn't decided to insert themselves into the story. |

I didn't see it as the same thing at all. This wasn't a rejoining situation was it? I'm still in two minds. The first thing I thought when I watched the replay from Max's cockpit was that he clearly and deliberately opened the steering. There is a distinct contrast to how he drove the corner on the previous lap.

At least it wasn’t like he made no attempt to take the corner like Rosberg did in 2016

I don't think that was called a penalty.

Nor me. I see the two incidents as completely different, personally. One was a driver error resulting in an unsafe return. The other was largely a racing incident where I personally believe that Max chose not to give Charles room (I emphasise - IMO, make no more of it than that). To me, the former incident was clear while the latter was down to the stewards' judgement call. I personally think attempts to compare them are an apples and pears job but as Canada was so recent there is a natural tendency to do so.

Short circuit, big kerbs, gravel traps - proper circuit (unlike Paul Ricard for example). Agree on the score - a solid 8. |
