But Ash wrote "Don’t worry got some exciting stuff coming soon" so it seems he has sorted something out for the year. The question is is it in BTCC or somewhere else, TCR Europe maybe as I don't think there's a place for him in WTCR. I don't think he can move to DTM with Aston either, it's absolutely unlikely.

Have BTC given away Dan Lloyd as their second driver?

I for one would be happy to see Dan return, he’s experienced with the car and it’d be good to see him with the same team for a whole season.

And the someone pressing go on press releases a day early habit continues...
Although that looks like it's cut off before the end? The last sentence doesn't read right, so I suppose it could even be a draft

Not bad I suppose, I've never taken to Dan Lloyd as being a top driver but it's consistency for the team and he's probably no better or worse than my James Cole prediction.

That would fit in with this recent freudian slip by BTCC.net too! However I always thought Dan struggled for full season funding and with the new BTC Honda seat price would have ruled him out?

4 days ago, Dan said he was still looking for a (TCR) 2019 drive. https://daniellloydracing.com/daniel-lloyd-confirmed-as-tcr-official-bop-tester/

Maybe he has been in jail, and that's why he's been waiting three years?

this in theory puts us back to before BTC were in the series, they have only to my memory been in BTCC 2 years, 1 with Honda and 1 with Chevys.

"race winners" hmm, apparently have been waiting since the start of 2016? so a driver not in the series for 3 years but a winner, and "buildingforthefuture" suggests still quite young...

Wrathall was probably released around the off season 2015-2016, and i think is only early 30s and I think he wont at least 1 race, so that does tie in (sort of), and the DynoJet brand probably have enough clout and money still.

in the current guise tho 2017-19, i cant see why someone would have waited since the start of 2016 when they were not then an entry, AND if thats they case why they were not then first pick for 2017 unless something was preventing them using this driver

He was out by April 2015. Think he served around a year? I know they let Geddie back in with his DUI, but this is a different and more sensitive case. I don't think it's him, is it someone who's been tied up driving elsewhere for 3 years?

yeah that sounds about right, I thought the same with Geddie, I dont know if Frank could come back, but he fits the criteria.

I cannot think of anyone who has been linked to BTC since the start of 2016, especially not a race winner. Unless journeyman James Cole HAS been talking to them for 3 years but never made it work?

Or as a wildcard, Rob Austin put his own team to bed in the off season 2015, did he enquire about joining up with BTC before partnering with Handy?
