I remember there being loads of them on stage in there heyday, surely some of them must be still going, or is this just a cheap tribute band

I friend of mine, who is fond of EWF, told me :
"EWF Experience includes Al McKay who had been a guitarist of EWF from 1972 to 1980, he composed "September" with Maurice White.
In the brass section, there is Michael Harris, from the former Phoenix Horns.
Al McKay had to add the word experience to his band because the name Earth Wind and Fire had been registered by Maurice White years ago. By now, only Philip Bailey, Ralph Johnson and Verdine White have the master and founder's authorisation to use the official name for records and concerts."

So the imitation should be perfect. But I think I won't see the concert.
