Car is on fire.

Time Harvey: Is that a puncture?

It's like having a retirement home commentating on motorsport.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence but in qualifying the commentators were talking up Simpson before the session and he got pole. All day today they’ve been talking up the Alfa and now it’s on pole....

How come they didn’t get Simpson out for race 3?

Shame, but as we saw in 2016 that could've been much worse. Think a widening and straightening of the pit straight might be in order.

WSR 1-2-3 led by Collard. Shame for Austin to lose that 2nd place.

Definitely made up for R1!

Good to see HARD finally going well with two in the top 10.

Subarus straight line speed is terrible... think Sutton needs to have a look elsewhere

Would have been interesting to see Plato’s body language getting out of the car, shame the camera didn’t follow him in.

Very much looked like Plato ragequit after seeing Moffat breeze past him.

Tom Boardman finally gets another points finish, while Stephen Jelley is on the outside looking in. Don't think he's gonna get another shot at the points again.

I feel so bad when I look at Sutton's results. He deserves a better car and the chance to defend his title. Already miss his great drives in the sharp end of the field. Hopefully he'll move to a better team next year (question is which team could that be?)
And who else thinks this is the end of Subaru and BMR in BTCC?

Great weekend for BMWs, I'm having a laugh now as yesterday I claimed that Collard is not there anymore. I'd rather see Jordan winning instead, but is how it is.

Can’t really blame Plato for pulling into the pits after Moffat breezed past him. Do you think there is any chance of a team taking him and his Adrian flux sponsorship on at this point of the season to replace a driver?

Certainly not anywhere competitive. I would think that the only teams wanting Plato would be the smaller outfits wanting the publicity.

As stated above, we can only imagine his body language after he got out of the car, but I'd put money on him quitting before Croft.

Gow has already said he wants to reduce the size of the grid. I suspect they will get the same answer he gave Alfa when they had a strop at Oulton in 1994 - "I'll get the door for you"

Well to start with, is there any one driver who's currently got a serious budget shortfall and is not likely to see much more of the season out?

If so who and is there current car a better prospect than a rear gunner Subaru.

Also, how locked in is Jason's deal with all parties?

Of course Plato’s cars top speed is slow but in qualifying he had the highest top speed of all the Subaru’s and was faster than Turkington. Obviously this doesn’t equate to lap speed because it’s still slow but maybe it’s not all the engine. Truthfully I’m at a loss to explain the teams performances this season. It can’t be a lack of funding surely since Scott is rumoured to be entering TCR UK once he can get a Civic and BMR are paying for drives in Clio Cup.

wouldn't be the most straight forward solution for BMR to just put the TOCA Swindon engine in it ?
