Never been a big fan of cadillac aesthetics style, but in its concept this car is some kind of corvette dp 2.0. Shame that apparently there will be only 2 full season cars in IMSA.

I would expect Cadillac to make customer cars available in the coming seasons. It has been GM policy over the years.

I have to admit that I'm a fan of the BMW and Cadillac. Both do show what's possible under the new regs. They almost make the Toyota look stale (though in fairness that could also be due to it being around so long I'm used to the Toyota). Can't wait to see what the final Porsche will look like, or the Lamborghini (though the latter will be a while).

And Dallara has more work to do with another car and Indy development for the hybrid system, only so many hours in the day. I would expect customer cars by 2024 given the previous plans, although that could change to be like Corvette was with the Vette being a customer available car soon enough

So, the 5.5L. engine will be used. Reminds me of the early 2000's, when they used the Northstar/Aurora engine. Hopefully this will make a better show of performance than that one did.

What kind of V8? Hope its similar to the one currently used, that thing sounds crazy. Seen some articles mention its a new engine based on the current C8R engine which would imply it has a flat plane crank but also seen some articles saying its a totally new engine which keeps hope that it will have a V8 rumble rather than sounding like the C8R. The C8R isnt a bad sound but id rather the V8 rumble.
Car looks good though, interesting to see what it looks like in the flesh. |

The engine is an update of the current engine in the DPi car. I believe they're developing the right engine to match the current 5.5L but listed as DOHC now so....
It's not the similar sized Z06/GTE car engine and not related at all |

Given the information shared about the engine that's doubtful, current is not DOHC while multiple statements have said the new one is. Straight from the horse's mouth
Cadillac isn't releasing a ton of technical details on the car, though it said it's powered by an "all-new" 5.5-liter DOHC V-8. We asked GM's sports-car racing head Laura Klauser if it's based on the LT6.R, the flat-plane, DOHC 5.5-liter V-8 that powers the Corvette C8.R. She just said "it's brand new." And ""We wanted to make sure that we brought forth the best possible solution from an engine package to make sure that we were competitive and we had the right pairing with the chassis versus trying to make something that we already had work," she said. "When you have such an opportunity like this and you look at the competition that's coming, you wanna bring the best possible package." From Road and Track interview with Laura Klauser |

Okay, we've heard from Milford (GM), now the ball is in Dearborn's court.
C'mon Ford, you have the engine to match them... Talk to Multimatic, and get this done! |

Alpine/Andretti chat - https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/...-lmdh-program/
Feels like a '25 thing surely if it even happens. And obviously a fundamental hurdle to be overcome around Alpine's IMSA registration. |

Not selling cars in the US could be problematic for IMSA, but I'm sure they can find a way around that if they really put their head$ together... |

Considering this future lmdh program, their intention to enter in f1 + FE and indy, Andretti has a lot of stuff planned for mid-long term.

I'm sure any manufacturer would be interested in Andretti running their team considering how well his team has been run and the success that goes with it
