I dont know about Chili you know, a broken pelvis is a pretty serious injury, isnt that pretty much what Kagayama had?
I mean he is in his mid forties and no one wants to see him getting injured like this again, but then Frankie just loves racing and if he is quick then why not! As for Gobert, well, seen it too many times before I am afraid, was not that great at PI when he raced but you never know, think he has had far too many second chances already in my book!! |

Not sure if it's covered elsewhere on the site, but Bussei is replacing an injured Karl Muggeridge on the second Ten Kate bike. Good to see he and Fuertes back especially. Agreed that Gobert has had his chances and flunked most of them.
Chili didn't seem competitive last year, even compared to the inexperienced Neukirchner, and a broken pelvis could put him out for 6 months, depending on the severity. He may decide that his time has past and call it a day. |

I think that'll be it for Frankie unfortunately! Its a pretty serious injury and with his age....just can't see it happening. Bussei has been rewarded for picking up Vermulen in 2004 after he fell off at Imola on the warm up lap. Not sure he'll be fighting for top points but its good to see a friendly spirit still within the WSBK paddock. As for Gobert. He's come out and admitted he was a bit of a rebel when in SBK a few years ago. He says hes calmed down alot since and take a more professional approach to his racing. I think he could get some decent points. Hopefully he'll get another shot at the world series full time. I think he's changed for the better!

I hope so too Pink, but I have heard it from it more than a few times before and the vast majority of people just havent got the petience to try these days, if you actually look at his results they are not that startling really, he was very good in AMA but in World Supers he was very sporadic in form, brilliant at PI, and a few other tracks but average everwhere else

Bit cynical about Bussei there pink - he strikes me as the best available rider at the moment (other than Biaggi, who would never accept a one-off ride like this).
As for Gobert, he has to impress if he's going to be given a lasting chance. He's not a young rider anymore, and there are plenty of promising Aussies coming through. |

Hey Boots I reckon the fact that the bike is a Honda might have something to do with it aswell!!

What happened to Gobert?
Not a bad effort from Bussei, considering the regular Honda pilots were nowhere near the front. |

that's a bit ... unlucky .. you get such a chance and **** happens
the races were quite good .. must be hard for Corser to lead that many laps . but not the ones that count |
