Late 80's early 90's DTM books or information

Gidday,

I was interested what is the best hard cover book for Late 80's early 90's DTM books or information/ pictures? It seems Autocourse does not have much info/pics and am not sure about Automobile year. What about Autodrom or any others?

Thanks
Mike

For the early 90's on, it's also probably worth trying to track down Fabio Ravaioli's 'Touring Car World' annuals

http://books.google.co.uk/books/abou...d=1_7hPAAACAAJ

They mainly concentrated on Super Touring, S2000 ETCC/WTCC, but the early issues (I think up to about 1996/7- they first started around 1994) covered DTM as well- No race reports, but complete results and grids for each round, plus a decent selection of pics.

As Planty said though, the Tourenwagen-story annuals are the best source, so long as you read German...

Thanks for that,

On a side note, I was at a book fair recently and got a copy of - Brock/Moffat on the road to Spa - for $2NZ! (like new condition). There are some great pictures of the 1986 ETCC in that book.

Hi

I like this bunch, but again you get more from them if you can read German

There is the book "DTM: Die Deutsche Tourenwagenmeisterschaft 1984 - 1996" by Thier/Weber about this period but I read that a lot of people have been disappointed with it. To my best knowledge, this is the only book about this period in DTM's history. I prefer "Einfach eine geile Zeit" by Gustav Büsing anyway but it is about the early DTM days until 1985 and the DRM days before.

edit: there also is "DTM - Die Story. Das offizielle Buch der DTM" released in 2005 including all seasons from 1984-2003. At amazon it is available for 20 euro but also in German language
