Go-Pakistan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Open pit lane

Apart from Donington, which other circuits have an open pitlane (i.e. not just 3 or 4 20 min sessions) for test days?

i'm trying to get maximum value for money in my ff1600.

I've known it at Siverstone and Snetterton, it can crop up at most circuits as a product of a very low entry. It's worth ringing the day before the test day to find out the situation

Try Anglesey on 3rd December £65 - it is sessions, but 6 x 15 minutes and it is only £75. If you do the three races on 4th December, testing comes down to £65 and the race entry is only £100
So that is six test sessions, a qualifying session and three races for £165

Is that maximum value for money for you?

I entered for the Anglesey testing a couple of days ago and have just received a standard confirmation letter from Richard Peacock stating that the test day is running until 5pm.

So I had better ask Infiniti to fit some Caterham style headlamps to the front wishbones.

That really is value for money

Check out the announcement from MSV this week:

MSV unveils new style of test day
Dates set for new semi-exclusive days at three MSV tracks
MotorSport Vision is to run a number of semi-exclusive testing sessions over the next couple of months designed to ensure maximum track time. Following recent enquiries, we have been speaking to various teams about how to structure our test days better.

Each date will run from 9am until dusk with a break of one hour for lunch. There will be an open pit lane, and to guarantee quality testing time, each day will run once a minimum of four cars are booked and confirmed, and be strictly limited to a maximum of 12 cars.

A rate of £500 inclusive of VAT, per car, has been set, with this to include use of a pit garage. Initial dates are available as detailed below, at Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Snetterton race circuits. The first four cars booked at Snetterton will automatically be located in the new Testing Centre complete with its own driver changing area, kitchen, toilets and hospitality area.

In addition, MSV will monitor the weather forecasts leading up to these dates and if it seems likely that the weather is going to prevent a suitable amount of running time, the day will be postponed and any monies paid transferred to the next scheduled date. If the forecast is such that we confirm the day (two day's notice) then all teams will be expected to attend.

If all teams are unable to run at all on the day due to unforseen weather conditions, the booking fee (less 20 percent) will be transferred to a future date. MSV expects to run similar days early in 2006 if the response from teams is positive.

Testing dates

Wed 02 Nov Snetterton
Thu 03 Nov Snetterton
Wed 16 Nov Brands Hatch
Wed 23 Nov Snetterton
Thurs 24 Nov Snetterton
Fri 02 Dec Oulton Park
Sat 03 Dec Oulton Park
Fri 09 Dec Brands Hatch
Thurs 15 Dec Snetterton
Fri 16 Dec Snetterton
Wed 18 Jan Snetterton
Thu 26 Jan Brands Hatch

For further information and to book please contact the circuits directly:

Brands Hatch 01474 875340 (Alan Tapson)
Snetterton 01953 887303 (Hayley Shaw)
Oulton Park 01829 760301 (Claire Mills)

Hope this helps

Phil

I don't know - at Brands Hatch it's very good value.

You'll be able to acheive far more than at the usual 4x 15 mins (allowing for red flags) which is £195 plus garage at about £60.

Back on topic.

Often, at this time of year Mallory run open-pit lane. Wednesdays 9am to 12:30 pm for £85.

You just don't realise how big the average saloon is until you pass one in a single-seater!

Or the noise a Ferrari 360 makes as you slip stream it!

Couldn't hear my car at all
