EVO article

Don't know why but I feel the need to comment on this. The following is from a TOCA newsletter posted in the Press Release forum (http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73942)

WORLDS APART, YET SO CLOSE
The latest edition (October) of evo magazine, one of BTCC media partner Dennis Publishing’s titles, features a five-page comparison between Vauxhall’s latest racer, the Astra Sport Hatch, and its famous ‘Big Bertha’ sports saloon from the Seventies. Interestingly, the feature points out just how closely matched, on a fast circuit like Thruxton, the two cars are, despite the 30-year age gap, with the Astra, driven by Yvan Muller, just edging it over the lighter-weight and more powerful Big Bertha in the hands of legend Jerry Marshall.
That's Baby Bertha, not Big Bertha. The 2 may be related but were very different cars. And of course driven by the legend that was Gerry Marshall, with a G.

At least the actual article is a little more accurate, and not a bad read either.

I thought there was both a 'Baby' and a 'Big' Bertha???

Agree about the Gerry bit though - that's criminal given the legend of the man!

'Big' was distroyed and the remains of the running gear used as the basis for 'Baby'.
