Lydden Winter Series / BTRDA round 1 March 6th

ANy idea on numbers for this yet?

I hope there will bea nice selection of cars dusting themselves down in time for the BRDA season as well as a good BRDA entry.

Anyone know who will be there

Been a long time since there's been some RallyX at Lydden, cant wait

Editing a previous stupid post... looking forward to this and looking forward to an entry list, hopefully Dorans, Hill and Binks will be out to play!

Anybody got any information on the entry list. As it is a BTRDA / MDA meeting I assume that none of the BRDA challengers will be there but still could be a very good Clubmans event.

sad to see only 2 juniors - not much fun to watch and probably even less satisfying to compete in? hope there will be more later in the season

I think it's a shame that no Dorans/Binks are on there, hopefully they will be a late surprise. Also a shame that Andy Scott is only in the RX150. Still, will be great to get the first RX fix of 2010, good to see a couple of new names in stock hatch (and see the minicross back) and also looking forward to seeing the improvements to the Swifts.

Roll on saturday...

Jnrs

there may be more for the weekend and there are definitely more for the rest of the year. Lets not forget the Irish Championship also finishes on Sunday, and they have a few jnrs that will be doing the Championship.

Good to see a few supercars on the list, though I'd been hoping that the Dorans might give their RS200 an airing. Not 100% as to whether I can make it, but if I'm available then theres definately enough cars to make it worth the drive.

Quick Q cos I am bored and just looked at the entry list in detail - are the Jnr Minis 1.3L now, or is that a typo?

I think that's a surprisingly good entry given the multitude of difficulties the event must face; a lingering winter, cars not ready, economic freefall etc.

Let's all cross our fingers for a bit of good weather though, yes? MASSIVELY excited about this event now – I guarantee I'll hardly sleep at all tonight, like a child before a trip to zoo...

I think it's a good entry and really looking forward to seeing minicross back!! Hope they get big fields throughout the year, as this has always been a great class.

Just surprised not to see any Dorans on there, but there must be a good reason for that.

Looking forward to tomorrow, but sorry Dave.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/foreca...0&region=world

Your convoluted 'rain overnight then drying throughout the day until late afternoon' dance must have worked! Although that is the third different weather prediction in the last hour or so, so who knows...

I went to Lydden in Winter a few years ago and to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed. There were about 50 spectators and 2 or 3 classes of cars - only one of which was interesting to watch. I think I got bored and left the circuit before the racing finished - hence I've never really felt like going back to the place until now.

Do you think the event tomorrow is going to be a bit more interesting? I love watching rallycross so I suppose I can't go too far wrong but a full timetable and a good crowd atmosphere always makes a big difference.
