oooooo i was so hopeful then, but i'll be back in Norfolk for chrimbo so won't be here. It'd have been nice to put my toe in the other side of the marshalling water...

...anyone know if the north west stages rally is on this year, and if so when?

Help is needed on both dates at both venues, first car will start the first day 9am so need to be signed on before that.

Next day will be a later start not confirmed as yet but probably approx 10am.

Steve is chief marshal, email link above, I'm Ast CofC so know nothing LOL

Organising club is Bolton Le Moors Car Club Ltd
http://www.bolton-le-moorscarclub.co.uk/

NW Stages will be on, usually around Feb

Slighty off topic but on the rally marshalling front

North West stages are running as two day event this year, 25th and 26th Feb, again based in Pontins Blackpool

No stage at Leyland but understand they are hoping to use a new venue somewhere in that vague direction

There is a shout for marshals on the rally forum but as yet I dont thing anything as been arranged,

Web site usually has details of marhsals etc but again dont have web address to hand

The sign-on times for the Bolton Le Moors Rally is 0730 at Preston Docks, on the Tuesday and 0830 at park hall hotel Next to Camelot theme park on the Wed, I have marshalled every year the event has run and it is an exellent event. The stages at Park hall are trickey but fast in places resulting in a number of severe scenery/car interface situations, and we have also had to fish a couple out of the lake. Trax at Preston Docks is a new venue, so no one really knows how it will fare, however i have heard tales of a certain 6R4 trying to demolish some of the buildings during a test session.
An extra attraction will be Two of the Fire truck drivers from Oulton who will be competing in a Nova 1.6, Not Mr Piquets friend though!
If anyone wants a day in a Radio Car let me know, I have a spare seat.

Would hazard a guess that a search under organising club ( bolton Le Moors car club) would come with the answers to that

Shows all the details, where when etc

Not sure of prices but it probably will be around £5 each day entry fee / programme

Just got back from Park Hall - my first experience doing a rally and certainly one I'll be happy to repeat, despite the mud at Trax! Thanks to all the officials for running the event and keeping us happy - especially Steve and Mick for letting us do different things and learning the new! Nice to meet you Neil (Road Rally) too See you next year?

Asp, nice to hear you enjoyed yourself, I was, as usual an interesting event, allthough Park Hall was not as destructive as normal, we made up for it at Trax on Tues with the two Rollers.

If you (Or anyone else) are interested there is a rally Training Day at Myerscough Collage near Preston on the 28th Jan, I believe there is a Fire training practical session on the menu, go to www.brmc.co.uk for details, or contact me. Following that there is the Northwest stages 25/6 Feb, and, The Malcolm Wilson Rally, 11th March, I am Running Grizedale North, All welcome!

Huge thanks to everyone that entered and marshalled.

Would have been nice to have more speccies at Trax and less at Park Hall.

Glad you enjoyed your first rally, and you even had the headgear already, we'll have to convert you into pukka bobble hatters and anoraks now, cheers you did a cracking job.

The crews I spoke to all seemed to be having fun and that's what matters.

Well see you all next year.
