Here are some of the reason's why Murray Walker makes races more interesting:
"It's raining and the track is wet" "Tambay's hopes, which were nil before, are absolute zero now" "'If' is a very long word in Formula 1, in fact if is F1 spelt backwards" "Look up there! That's the sky" "Do my eyes decieve me or is Senna's Lotus sounding rough?" "With half the race gone, there is still half the race to go" "Now here's Senna in the Pits. No point saying I wish i could lip read, i can't even see his lips" Bizzare: "Frentzen attack! attack! attack!" "Fire! Fire! Diniz in the oven" "The two McLaren's are so hot they look like two fried lobsters in silver suits" I for one will be sad to see him go! Maximum F1 |

Funny stuff!
Those are some funny quotes, but yeah I'm sad to see him go too. F1 won't be the same |

Might I add to that list?
"And here is Ralf Schumacher, son of Michael" "We are now on the 73rd lap...and the next one will be the 74th" "I don't make mistakes. I make prophecies that go wrong right away" "Either the car is stationary...or it's on the ove" "Once again Damon Hill is modest in defeat" "You can see the gap between Mansell and Piquet is rather more than just visual" "I imagine that the conditions in those cars today are totally unimaginable" "It's not quite a curve, it's a straight actually" "I make no apologies for their absence...I'm sorry they're not here" "And now excuse me while I interrupt myself" "Alboreto is into the pits, and I'm going to stop the startwatch!" "And Ayrton Senna knows exactly where Nigel Mansell is because he can see him in his earphones" This doesn't seem right... "And Ayrton Senna wins the 1999 Monaco Grand Prix" (erm, what?) "In case there is any confusion: Coulthard leads and has yet to stop, Hakkinen leads and has yet to stop" (team orders, right? ) "Nigel Mansell has gone from seventh to sixth to fourth to fifth and now to third" (if you say so ) We love you, Murray! |

Don't forget:
"I know it's true because I was there when I said it!" and "Some people say it's cricket and it's not. it's motorsport!" Pure gold! |

You guys are killing me! I wish I had been watching F1 for longer than 3 years so that I could have heard more of him but I'm thankful for what I did get to hear (and have yet to hear for the rest of this season!) |

I love this thread - I really needed a good laugh. I am laughing so much I can hear the tears rolling down my cheeks.
