After Wednesday Times what are bentley's chance for an overall?
I have a good feeling- I only hope it s right, I would love for the B team to spearhead a full all out LMP battle for the next few years, I like Tops on cars you see. 3.32! |

Don't worry, they'll be at the top... the only question now is the reliability and the speed to change deficient things in the engine (gearbox ?)...

I'd like to see the Bentleys win, but I wouldn't risk those odds. Two cars against more Audis? I'd bet 35 Bentley, 40 Audi, 20 Dome, 5 the rest. It's Le mans and you never know what'll happen. What do the pro bookies make it?

Yeah, but look at the Toyota GT Ones.... Everyone said they should win (and on speed they should have done) but things like a bit of rain, tyre problems, accidents, etc. all contrived to put them out. I can't recall if any of them went out through car reliability issues or not, but I do recall quite a few instances where circumstances beyond their control put the cars out.
Now, I really, REALLY, hope this doesn't happen to Bentley - I'd love for them to pull off a 1-2 but I reckon a 1-3 or a 1-4 is more likely given that the Audis are unlikely to be less reliable than in previous years and the driver teams are all very strong. And I'm sure Biela will want to prove that you don't need to be in a full factory team to win Le Mans and I'm sure he'll want to put one over on his former partners in the Bentley !! Dome may have the pace but I still doubt its ultimate reliability. Roll on tomorrow !! |
