Gerard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Reports surfaced that Alain Prost has sold the majority share in the team to a Canadian consortium, but such could not be confirmed and speculations are that Flavio Briatore is also an interested party in such.

Briatore has once again stressed that they won't supply a secondary team with Supertec engines for 2001, but insiders said that the 2001 'Prost' team could be lead by Supertec boss Bruno Michel, which will in effect make it a secondary Renault team.
Briatore could then use such as a training ground for future Renault drivers and many say that it is exactly here where Jenson Button comes into play.
Button has been linked to Benetton for the 2001 season and the aforementioned scenario would play right into the picture.
The team would probably be re-named also.
In spite of the reports, Alain Prost refused to give anything away and was quoted as saying: 'There's a good chance there will be some investors involved but I can't say any more that that.' The announcement is expected at the upcoming German GP.

Aside from the mysterious "Canadian" investors, I have heard mention of LMVH as another possible investor. Given that Seagrams is in negotiations with LMVH, could this all be one and the same?

How long before TIMEWarner and ABC Capital Cities (Disney) reach F1?

Given the growing rate of Mickey Mouse circuits, I don't think we'll have too long to wait.

I read somewhere that the old onyx team from the 1980's are behind the bid. As they have a modern lightweight engine ready to use.
