Remaining Seats

Well, with Jags announcement, the recent daMatta leak, and EJ swearing that Sato's seat is safe, we are left with 2 seats at Minardi, and if by some miricle Arrows survive, 4.

I think Jos is looking good for the Minardi seat, and if Arrows fold, Bernoldi and his Red Bull money will pretty attractive for the other one.

I can't see Irvine being either offered or willing to accept a drive in either team, but does Pedro come with a bag of money these days?

Stoddart has said that he's interested in Wilson, and says the PS03 Minardi cockpit will be big enough for the driver. Anthony Davidson must be considered also, but I think the final decision will still come down to money. Maybe Mazzacash is set for a return.

If Arrows survive (and I don't think they will) they really will have to settle for Stoddarts left overs. With no engine, tyres or staff, this could be problem Walkinshaw could only wish for.

So who's getting what seat?

One of the Minardi seats is for that Zlobyn guy I believe. That is if Minardi-Gazprom is a sure deal. It is, isn't it?

Most probably, but actually it would make some sense. It will be the first Russian in Formula 1 and the Gazprom will be not much different from KL-Yoong situation. Just speculationg.

Mark Webber has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Love to see Mr Pollack bring Arrow's back , Didn't I see Porsche's name thrown around some where?
as for Mr Stoddard's Team Aussie I think its great to see the BOSS back And if it was me PDLR would be in the other seat
Jos = $ & PDLR= $ + Marks great 5 place = $ which = a very happy Mr Stoddard and a better team Aussie

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
I suppose we all hope that Arrows, by some miraculous intervention, will be there next year, but really I don't think so. The only unknown is what engine, if any that Minardi will be able to get.

Nope, he might be a testdriver, but he is even slower(hard to believe , but stil SLOWER) than Yoong, at the Mugello test in september he was 13.5(thirtheen and a half!!!) seconds slower than Schumacher.

The Gazprom deal is done, but there does'nt have to be a Russian driver(thank god for that, Zlobin and Maslov would be lapped every 7 or 8 laps)

when they bring enough money why not, but if arrows comes back they will definately choose because of sponsorship, and bernoldi could also stay

If Jos is fairly tall, it might allow Wilson a way in...?

Zlobin sounds as bad as Deletraz. I hope Minardi can find someone better than him.

Hard to see Arrows rising from the dead at this stage, even if some white knight backer came to their rescue a start in 2003 at this stage would be as likely as Elvis returning.

Oh, no!

I believe we deserve better one to be first russian driver in F1. Zlobin will be teh shame for Russia. Let him driver test car, this is enough.

How about a 2004 driver for Minardi: Zsolt Slowgartner. He's bought a Coloni drive. What next?

The smart money has to be on Bernoldi returning to Minardi with that bag full of cash, half decent driver as well.
Minardi need money and I cant see them affording a rookie along with Verstappen (how did he get the drive, totally useless unless on a light fuel load) being there with his pay demands.

Bernoldi for Minardi would be good, he's gotta be the best pay-driver out there.

With Jos and Bernoldi, Minardi would have a decent line-up, and with the new qualifying and point-scoring systems, they could be set for scoring points, and more than a couple of times.
