Ms Whitley has signed on to do the A-Pac Cup in her old Golf, to be run by MPC.

With so many changes in owners for this year, a proven championship winning model is still up forsale?

Asking to much?

$250,000

VS

$175,000

Great job on a quality female driver bringing a non-automotive sponsor that I believe is new to the sport.

The smoke in mirrors continues...

Numerous drivers placed last-minute in cars either owned or leased by ARG, with branding sought by ARG, which may or may not be at market rates.

Serveral championship entrants not present. The likes of Cox, D'Alberto, Martin, King, and apparently a couple of others... are no-shows.

Serveral cars from last year not present. No Cupra, no Subarus, an Alfa, a Renault, 3 Hyundais, and the (apparently) sole-remaining Astra... And where's that Veloster HMO had sourced?

For what's meant to be the curtain-raiser for TCR in this region, to showcase the concept in front of typical F1 and Supercars crowds, it's a little disappointing.

Not sure about Ch10, but Saturday and Sunday races are on Foxtel and Kayo.

No Friday coverage, from what I can see.

Lack of free-to-air coverage (i.e., to cover the running costs) would explain some of the regular runners like the Wall Hondas not appearing at this round?

Apparently events attracting more than 50 people are to be banned until further notice so I assume that the opening round of the TCR series at the Creek is still a goer
Only joking in these trying times.

Joking aside , will they proceed without spectators as the participants would number well over 500 in the pitlane garages alone.
Set them up on the concrete slab at the back so they are not congregated in enclosed spaces ?
We have to work within these rules but not just give up FFS.

Not exactly on topic but I see the governing body has not grown any balls and is letting Lynk and Co back in the WTCR without offering their car for sale anywhere.

They have claimed to deliver cars to 2 "external teams" - Cyan Racing, and a Chinese team they won't name.

They should have been kicked out half way through last year.

This is the kind of **** that will make TCR fall apart.

Touring Car Times report:

Geely Group Motorsport have confirmed that they are now open for taking orders of the new Lynk & Co 03 TCR, as raced in this year’s World Touring Car Cup by Cyan Racing, with deliveries due to start in Quarter 1 of 2020.

So calendar announced:

Quote:
1 Sydney Motorsport Park Aug 15-16
2 Sandown Sep 12-13
3 Phillip Island Oct TBA-TBA
4 Bathurst Nov 12-15
5 Symmons Plains Jan 24-26
6 Baskerville Jan 29-30
Baskerville is interesting, double header "festival" in Tassie including Australia Day weekend.

We have also lost the TCR enduro that was to be at Bathurst, with ARG having to fit in the B6Hr into the Bathurst International 4-day weekend.

No QLD tracks because of border closures.

Thoughts?

I was keen for Morgan Park. Not only is it a different track to where the major car classes normally run, it's nearby.

Otherwise, I'm just glad that we're slowly moving back towards something happening, regardless of where.

It’s a shame we don’t get what we were initially told... but complaining about it is pointless.

Race cars on race tracks is better than no race cars on race tracks 👍🏼
