Also a Believer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Practise pace to race pace.

Sitting here on my day off I have been going over some of the senerios of drivers that qualify well and fall away, I guess really I was wondering why the ozemail team seem to have all this bad luck in this are. JB seems to have had a few instances in recent years where he has qualified well only to be never seen again when the flag drops, CAn anyone think of other team and drver incidents.

Max Wilson IIRC had great qualifying pace in many races and would fall off the face of the earth on race day.

SORF Rodney used to be able to get one reasonable lap together in qualifying, just to make sure that he took out more than just Tratty every race

Same thing with Test Sessions and Race Day.

Remember DJR in 2002 were raving about how much of a rocket they made in a test session leading up to the 500, then they hardley made an impact in the race. They went to the extent of throwing the car back into the truck and not touching it until race day.

There is an element of luck with set-ups.
