GRM wouldnt cop Boost, nor will BJR.

IF Mr Adderton wants a racing team he should buy one.

As for Team Sydney, mentioning Government support brings out the worst in some.

Couple of things that I found interesting from Barry Ryan's interview on TLP podcast.

- The drive sounded like it was closer to full-time than a one off.
- It didn't sound as if the economic effects of COVID-19 would make or break the deal.
- Ryan sounded as if 3 cars was more of a long term play than a temporary one and that JC's involvement was more strategic than tactical.

May have just been my take.... but interesting to hear other takes on the interview.

thay where looking at 3 cars

He’s being positioned to take a full-time drive with the squad in 2021, which could either come in a third car or as a replacement for De Pasquale.

Adderton wants Gen3 clarity before REC investment

Speedcafe.com understands the current arrangement with Tickford Racing will see Adderton lease the Racing Entitlements Contract owned by Phil Munday.

When will someone define this...

“I’m personally hoping this is the catalyst that forces the change that is needed to get the sport back to the grassroots, basic fundamentals, that built this sport to where it is today,” said Adderton. Unquote

Perhaps he ought to put some targets in there that he would like to see. Airy fairy comments such as he made or that it is unaffordable etc etc do not have any meaning until the commentator actually tells us the target he thinks is needed. $2,000,000 or $20,000 or no electronics or bring back clutch and H pattern, no power steering and so on. Everyone tells us it is too expensive, by how much is it too expensive so on and so forth. It is all blah blah without solid ideas of exactly what the commentator wants and so much hot air.

Given the amount of downtime since this global lockdown, has there been ONE indication from Supercars that they have a plan in place to battle: reduced TV money, just one official manufacturer, reduced sponsor $ and no crowd revenue likely for a while?

It probably involves a control front upright in there somewhere

if they made all their plans public all they would get is more experts giving their opinion

I can't work out whether they need more experts giving their opinion or one dictator to organise the whole thing. The reality is the present executive seems to be somewhat lacking in direction but they are dealing with multiple major issues all at once so who knows if a different approach would be any better, certainly not me.

Walking back on a contract with Rusty French will be expensive.

I'd be surprised if the Tickford deal has not been signed.

Unfortunately the sport hasn't been able to make the decisions it needed to enact change.

Watch Enforcer and the Dude episode with Ryan Story and Roland Dane for the story.

It’s a shame the drive was at the expense of Wilbur, but that was a highlight drive from Courtney considering he had literally no miles in the car before the weekend.

They both deserve full time drives.

And Adderton, love him or hate him, should be congratulated for putting money where his mouth is - especially at a time like now..
