Great for the 'Family Look', 'brand cohesion' and all that b*llocks...

b*gger all use for fans in grandstands or hapless TV commentators, who'd just LOVE to know which multi-coloured flash just speared into the undergrowth / barriers / car in front of it but who are denied the opportunity because the 'individual signatures' of the cars are only detectable with a scanning electron microscope and then only when stationary in a well-lit pit garage...

Hahaha, I smell some frustration there Martin

At least at BMW you can see it from the driving:
- Tight driving / front of the pack: Priaulx
- Clinched with another car / front of the pack: Farfus
- Tight driving / middle of the pack: Muller
- Clinched with another car / middle of the pack: Zanardi
- The one you don't see: Porteiro

For a great livery:

http://www.stillphotography.co.uk/ga.../mg_9.jpg.html

love that one. Just really MG, and made the car look so cool.

for a crap one:

http://www.stillphotography.co.uk/ga...MG_12.jpg.html

Just really dull. I thought the point was to show people that there were no sponsors, but it didnt improve when sureterm came along.

Sorry, but i dont know how to put pics in this. Or links. Oh I've messed this up.

They've got big numbers on the doors and their names written all over them. And ubernerds might even use the different coloured door mirrors if they get a chance to look. More than we get from F1!

Oh, I don't know, I think that they helpfully change the sunstrip visor colour for each driver.. and they also put names on the windows/side glass..

.. and I think they also came up with the novel idea of putting numbers on them...

I don't know, you TV boys always seem to have some excuse or another..

Now, c'mon, there is the "usual suspects" theory to fall back on..

and also the oft employed nameverypossibledriverasfastasyoupossiblycanandseeiftheynoticehtemistake tactic....?

No..?
