STEALTHY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Man this show is just going to **** (if we weren't there already). Slades hit on murph was as clear cut as they come. Spun him, Murphy lost time and places.
The Van Giz one i don't get, why was lowndes touch on todd given the drive through time added to his race, but giz only loses championship points (not like thats going to have an effect on where he finishes)
Looks to me like someone has jamie whincup coloured goggles, since a drive through would have given Will an extra position (and thus more points).

And since when isn't the standard penalty taking somebody out a PLP added to your race time. Talk about consistently inconsistent.
As i mentioned in my post above, seems like championship fixing to me. Same offence, different penalty (the penalty on lowndes yesterday wouldn't have had any difference on WD's position since he finished ahead of that drama)

Investigating after the race must mean bringing out the mystery 8 ball. The laws of probability suggest they will get some right.

Don't forget he has never admitted fault in the incident with Ambrose at Bathurst.

One the day he does, the curse will be lifted and the the racing gods will smile on him again.

But until then he'll have to accept every bit of bad luck and misfortune that comes his way.

That's not technically correct is it?

The #5 car's engine ran out of oil pressure, perhaps as a result of crap entering the engine bay from the offroad excursion, but the engine issue caused Frosty to pull up on the front straight, get out while cars were still capable of going past, and jumping the wall...

Why would he admit something he didn't do? 2 Drivers with big ego's into one corner. One could have backed out the other could have given racing room, neither were at fault (and i can have an unbiased opinion on it, since i hate both drivers)

Watched it many times. And always come to the same conclusion. Thats the good thing about opinions, were both right

In MY opinion the stewards got it right with the Bargs/Lowndes incident. Barg's drove like a twit, 3/4's of the field would have done the same thing and Lowndes has one of the coolest heads around.

However I can't work out Van Giz's points penalty. Should have been a time added PLP. Maybe HRT should lodge a protest on behalf of FPR.

Look its an old adage, but 2 wrongs don't make a right.

I actually disagree about Lowndes, he was giving everybody a touch up, not like the hard, fair Lowndes of old.

in theory. Giz would have been penalised a pit lane penalty on about lap 6, but a latter safety car would have dragged him back up to the field, because he had speed he would have moved forward through the field (he did as it was) and it would then have been wrong to penalise 38 seconds as the safety car had reduced that gap.

I would hope they did a calculation based on lap times and cars passed etc.

its complicated but a much fairer call that a 38 sec penalty at race end.

In the lowndes situation the penalty was applied because there had not been a subsequent safety car

think we might have been watching different races and at any point its not actually a crime to give someone a nudge, maybe croquet is your sport

Nudges are fine but in my opinion repeatedly nudging people mid corner so you can do a bump and run is not cool, and Lowndes is starting to do it a lot. Couple of times today it was quite dangerous.

The dumb thing is he had the speed so he didn't have to do it, but he's getting impatient in his old age.
