The new Aussie STIG ..............is
With the AUSSIE TOP GEAR going to CH9 and Warnie the main man on the show, will there be a new STIG. Well herd today that one Mr M.SKAIFE could be on the top of the list for the STIG job.

This is the worst news in the history of Australian TV (ok so maybe I'm getting carried away)
Top Gear Australia, like it or loathe it was still the best motoring show Australia has ever produced. Now the network who have brought you such dribble as 20 to 1, ACA and Whats Good For You have taken the rights and put this self publicising fool in as a presenter. The world will look on in disbelief as we take a winning formula and destroy it royaly. |

Warnie!!!!!! What the hell.
They gotta keep the trumpet player and the cartoonist. They are GREAT. The Porsche instructor is quite okay too. Hopefully he stays in the line-up. I suppose they can (just) get away with replacing him with Warnie (!). I suggest replacing the Stig with "Stiggo" dressed in a blue racing suit to offer some form of differentiation. Presumably this means the BBC top gear will be shown on nine also? (better than much of their second-rate programming that's for sure!) perhaps the delay compared to the british screenings will be reduced in this case |

Isn't Skaifey a channel 7 employee for the v8's?? Not sure if he can be the stig on 9 and still work at 7. Give Luffy the gig

It's a sad day indeed that Ch9 have put faith in someone with an image so yobbo friendly to host what is an otherwise entertaining format (at least that's the BBC version I refer to)... and absolutely nothing in common with the level headed enthusiasts among us. I have to say I enjoyed the second season of TG Australia more than the first, but it did need a retune I think. I'll keep an open mind though. |

Well, if Top Gear Australia does go to Channel 9, what odds there will be text in competitions? Anyone else see the irony in that if Shane Warne is a host???
