Mark Fogarty and AA following the event last year.

It is a signature event though? I know it was sold that way but in reality? The build up to the 2012 has hardly been big here in Sydney. Not sure of the perception across the rest of the country? Crowds have been supplemented heavily from big band involvement and crowds have been decreasing since year 1. I am not sure where the opportunity to improve is? More Government investment? - unlikely based off comments by Barry O'Farrell following the event last year and Tony Cochrane's threat to move the event to a July timeframe in 2013 if his demands weren't met. The whole event was built on sand from dodgy dealings of Ian McDonald and the NSW Government at the time. Last edited by D.R.T.; 28 Nov 2012 at 23:58. |

Having attended last years event , I think the General admission guys get a pretty raw deal. there are very few decent veiwing areas unless you are in a grandstand . Could be a reason numbers keep falling

I've been in attendance since the inaugural event. I've had paid stand tickets at Turn 2/3/4, had hospitality access in the main straight (on both sides), and walked the track multiples times. There are plenty of good vantage points to take in plenty of close up action. For the the Homebush bashers, the racing has always been action packed, and far more entertaining than the procession at Eastern Creek this year. I often laugh at all the V8SC cynics here, more complaints that all our wives put together. |

I was up that way yesterday (North Ryde, to be precise), and it was already too hot for me.

amazing top ten. no lowndes whincup or frosty or HRT but both djr cars into the top ten and also both GRM. Premat does his chance of being there next year no harm Last edited by peckstar; 1 Dec 2012 at 02:37. |

Baretta interviewing Jnr Johnson says ''
your best qualifying effort of the year and the best time to do it'' ??? Why is it the best time ? Would have thought that Bathurst would have been the best time or many of the other races for that fact ? Need some changes in the '' box ''. |

But Could you say that your only as good as your last race and therfore if you finish the season well that is an important time to do it. that being said wet/dry qualyfying along with a yellow flag which ruined a lot of hot laps, seems like the session was a bit of a lottery. |

after qualifying was ridiculous and even if Junior has a great weekend i can't see how that's going to give DJR a sense of accomplishment for the year overall. Not meant to be a DJR bash as the same can be said of HRT and KR for the year. My issue is with Baretta's stupid question, not DJR's results. |

Congrats to SVG. We didn't think we could replace Paul Morris but you managed it by hitting the Medical car (the most expensive track car).
With him leaving next year, the hunt is on again (although if Mostert jumps into the main game he'll fill the void nicely) |

I must say good on them for holding the safety car a bit longer than normal today. Seems the deployment both times has been fair enough and not an early call!!
