Francesca should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Naoki Hattori has won the opening round of the Formula Nippon Championship at Suzuka.

Ralph Firman finished 5th and British F3 fave Narain Karthikeyan came in 6th

Ex FPA driver Richard Lyons finished eighth.

Anyone want to place bets on Ralph or Narain winning this years championship? They both had problems but still managed to grab some points.

do you really think ralph is capable of winning the title, he has been over there for a couple of years now and had about 2 good races each season. how old is ralph?.....good drive by narian, congrats to naoki hattori......if hattori won the title where would he go, he didnt impress in CART in 99!

Ralph's been at a disadvantage racing the G-Force chassis for the past years, as it cannot really compete on a level playing field against all of the other cars. The Nova team are the only one to run G-Forces, and so do not have the data that the other cars have. Ralph also has had his fair share of bad luck.

On his day, like the Suzuka short circuit in 1999, he was dominant. I think that he'll be able to at least win more races this year, especially considering the car he has got.

Ralph must be good to get this drive, Satoru Nakijama is no fool.

I'm a bit of a Ralph supporter, in case you couldn't tell...
