If Supercheaps budget were the same, how would going to a single car team where the cost average per car calculates higher, equal a better opportunity or paycheque for Chaz?

is the logic, and i may be wrong, that you get the benefit of being a close customer of Triple 8 giving you the scale.

But i see your point

Because the pilot and his wiggly line watcher can develop their own setups around a brilliant base package, and not have to share setups with any teammates or anyone else....

And... Tekno might get some product ranged in SuperCheap stores..

Or so the story goes

Chaz is set to stay with PRA, don't worry. As far as the person I know working for PRA knows he is contracted to the end of 2019. I was talking with them on Friday about V8s in general and Chaz, Cam and Frosty (from the body language they are getting) all want to stay with PRA. As for Bright, as long as he has experience and money to help PRA (which I believe he has this year, yet is ignored, just like Dale Wood with Erebus) then he can either stay or hire Jacobson/Stanaway for next year

Which might be the point... thete is definitely a shift in strategy for Super Retail to be more involved in the fitment business, especially after announcing the Bosch joint venture Here and existing work on replacement of simple consumables at store level.

I think they're up for renewal this year. Pretty sure it was a two year deal. I'd be surprised if they didn't resign given Chaz's performance, not entirely consistent but a lot of that was all PRA cars not being on song

Auto Action today is reporting that Garry Rogers is looking to expand into a four car Supercar team for the main game in 2018, if it happens it will free up 2 extra seats at that team, seeing as Garry is known for giving youngsters a go it might be an avenue for some Super2 drivers

No mention of where from, but he does say that he doesn't think they will be too hard to get hold of

Wouldn't be thinking of expanding unless he is thinking of drivers to put in there

Possible for GRM. It would be a good thing to see. That way he could have Golding, Tander and Moffat in the cars, even though Moffat hasn't impressed in the past I feel he is doing a decent job this year, he has been around the pace Garth has at the majority. Some he has been off pace, but so has Garth

Stanaway in the 4th car possibly. It has been suggested that he will be on loan maybe next year, GRM have a good past with young talent, would be a good fit

Possibly!

The easiest thing to do would simply be to move Moffat along, and put Stanaway in the #34. I am not sure that Golding has shown enough potential to warrant a main game drive yet.

The problem is both have been off the pace compared to McLaughin. Now Moffat was always off the pace compared to McLaughin, and unsurprisingly Tander is at the same pace as Moffat -- which is fine. But Stanaway might be the superstar required to put GRM racing back in the hunt for regular podiums.

If this is happening could it just be simply that GRM would rather run 4 main game cars, rather than 2 + 2?

So the extra 2 seats would likely be funded by he drivers.

True, while I still feel a few more development races couldn't hurt, Stanaway is definantly a big part of the next major silly season
