Lexus and Kobayashi for 2014 ????
I am here at Monaco and I am excited to learn ( just a rumor folks ) that Toyota under the banner of Lexus and driver Kobayashi will be on the grid come 2014. Lets hope it is true.

Does Toyota even have an engine that they could badge as a Lexus? I know that F1 powertrains will be eligible for sportscar racing going forward but there also isnt a requirement for teams to move away from the current engines in WEC so unless I've missed something Toyota (or Lexus) would be paying to badge a Merc/Ferrari/Renault engine which obviously wouldnt be possible

i read a quote from a Toyota spokesperson last week saying that they had no plans of returning. things changing from one week to the next is not unheard of though in F1.

Supplying engines would be a good deal for them and with Honda coming back, a Toyota return suddenly looks someway natural. If so, I hope it doesn't impact on that WEC program. But it shouldn't need to really.
