Not sure what you mean Gerard .

Do you mean that it would not create that much steam if someone crept up & rammed you from behind .

Or would it be that , if the wind is going faster than the train , then the steam would go the wrong way ..

I remember building a quick Anglia engine in the kitchen when I lived with my parents, I also remember my mother giving me a bol****ing for cooking up "Linklife" for my motorbike chain on her stove !

Ha yes, I do remember this kind of stuff made by Duckhams. What a relief it was for all cooking Mums of the world when the chains came fitted with rings! Beef fat on the rear wheel and swinging arm was not great though…

Has anyone else had an email from NHS regarding the NHS passport for coronavirus ? The whole thing looks correct and it states that it's free, however when you complete the form they ask a couple of quid for admin. The only problem is you have to put a C Card in with the security number as with most things online and I have almost given up with the scams going on. I am in Spain at the moment and one could be a help at the moment. The email senders address is nhs@cycloan.io . Anybody help ?

The actual email address sounds a bit suss..... surely it would be [email]*****@nhs.net

I found this link about all things to do with UK Covid passports which might help. It discusses the NHS app for the passport and privacy notices etc.

You could always email helpdesk@nhs.net and ask if it is legit (that's from the NHS help page.)

My wife got conned in to paying £20.00 each of us to change our address on our driving licences by a website that looked like dvla but was obviously privately run and charged her for doing what could be done for free on the dvla's own website.

To answer your question - no, I've not received anything about that.

Yeah the website is but it gives the helpdesk as helpdesk@nhs.net
on this page. https://digital.nhs.uk/services/nhsm...desk%40nhs.net.
It also gives a phone # on that page for 24/7 NHS help

Cheers mate, however I have decided that it "possibly" is a scam and not done anything about it. I always find the senders email address and have a good look at it these days.

The sad thing is there has been quite a few scammers who have looked to take advantage of this pandemic by sending out scam messages, emails and phone calls. Just remain vigilante

Although I clicked onto it to find out to get the form up I took a look in my sent emails and nothing has actually been sent.
On that form it stated that it is free but at the end it asked for an admin fee and that's what raised my suspicion. All this was very late at night after we had come back from a good night out at a beach bar so I wasn't at my best at using what brain cells I have left at my age ! The site has been taken down since.

It's just another scam, delete it. My wife works in the post office and it's frightening the number of people that have been conned in a similar fashion with a "parcel delivery payment" charge requesting the recipient to pay a nominal £1.99 or £2.99 thereby disclosing their credit card details. Absolute scum of the earth these people.

Of course, the danger is, that when the Nigerian government really does want to send you £50,000, you won't send you bank details and miss out. My advice s to send the 'Admin Fee' of £50. and then empty you account. Perfect solution.

Well, I mainly agree with you, just did that and received an unpolite warning form paypal… I'm now very suspicious and dont let any data like credit card numbers on any website. As to poor ladies asking for some money from a far away country, I never ever took care of them!
