Circuit guides?
Is there anywhere that has circuit guides for photographers? Google throws up great driving/racing lines for many circuits, but what I'm after is a guide that shows access points etc.
I'm off to Donington next week and I'm aware that there have been a few changes over the last couple of years and that access is possibly restricted. Anyone know if you can get to the outside of McLeans or Coppice (with a car). Wondering whether I need to take my bike up in order to save my legs Not sure how up to date the map is on the website Cheers |

There is disabled parking outside of Coppice. You could try asking the guy on the gate if he'll let you in as it's not normally that busy.
Infeld is only open between between Essses and Old Hairpin so you can't use the tunnels at McLeans or Coppice and the Dunlop bridge over the straight is long gone. Occasionally they open the Exhibition Centre and let you walk from the Esses through the hall to Coppice, but that's fairly rare. Generally the only way to get to Coppice is to start at Redgate and walk all the way around the circuit. Not sure about the bike. I suspect they might not let you take it in. |

Percy,
One idea is to take a look at pictures on various web sites and see where other people are taking photo's. Yes it is a bit early this year, but looking at some of the established guys sites might give you a notion of the right place to be. bauble. |

Are you looking for spots inside or outside the fence?

Just follow some of the guys who look like they know their way around, there are sure to be quite a number of experienced Donny regulars.

Well after a damp day at Donington, I can confirm that you can drive as far as Coppice from Redgate.
As soon as you step out of the car - you need wellies! |
