Threads now merged.
I'm also going to split of the discussion re long marshaling hours, since it clearly was/is a separate issue which goes byond this specific event. |

Silverstone Festival
Where has Thread gone and why not have the Marshal's problems on this thread. It gets a wider readership than in the marshals forum and it does/will effect all entants, drivers.etc involved with the sport.
Notice that Pre war race is full with Mags Diffey racing.Jim won the race last year. |

John, you are not looking very far. I'm assuming that the Festival is the same as the Classic, in which case, I've merged it once already; guess I'll have to do the same again! Also you will see that the discussion on marshalling has been given its own thread BUT remains on this forum!

I've noted that both the threads got closed and I, seriously, don't know how, so apologies to John if this is what he meant. Now both reopened.

Now merged again. All very strange because you cannot merge and/or split and close threads in the same action. Anyway, back to normal, I hope.
And here is the marshal's thread that John was concerned about. It's further down the page because there has been so much more recent activity on some of the other threads:- http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98484 Last edited by John Turner; 17 Jul 2007 at 08:39. |

Sorry to be bring the thread back to the topic in a prosaic way, but has anyone seen entry lists for the races yet?
Only a week to go, and although I have entry list for the Roadsports race (below), as far as the others go, I have diddly-squat! I,ve got a fair bit to do on gyg, steering is awful which is possibly lack of grease/brakes/mods to the seat/and it still has that missfire, hopefully that will get traced and sorted on the rollers.

Terry, when i gave the car back to David, the misfire wasnt there, we had just put it on Chris's rollers & it ran perfectly up to 6500, we fitted it with a new ignition unit at Chris's but i reckoned that the wiring was poor & causing the problem.
It always had very good & light steering - couldn't get others as good, so it must just be lack of use, etc. but with Dunlops on they tramline, dive & everything else until fully warm. It has one of those alloy seats in it, can't remember if it has any sliders, it may need some padding under the covering, we now put cobra seats in them as they are more comfortable Last edited by FastDB2s; 18 Jul 2007 at 07:01. |
