[V8DVS09R05] Fujitsu Series @ Queensland Raceway

The form cars in this series seem to move around a little.

There are still 4 guys in the championship hunt, Mr Russell, Mr Webb, Mr Moffat and Mr Denyer....

Mr Moffat seems to have some pace at places he likes.. or is familiar with.. Mr Webb seems to be great at chasing other cars, setting fast times.. but doesnt seem to be able to lead from the front and set the pace... Mr Denyer is an outsider.. making the most of reverse grid races.. while Mr Russell is at his home track..

Who will win?

Mr Price has lots of pace in that ex-HRT mobile... he should be doing better than he has been.. its possible that team could turn a corner at QR..

We shall see..

It is most likely that Price wont be running at QLD according to Motorsport Enews.

it's odd that it's Holden's decision to make him focus on the enduro's, IMO there is no substitute for track time. odd one there if you ask me.

I think this year's Fujitsu Series is a great advertisement of what the main game will look like next year - only with the two manufacturer's positions swapped around.

Interesting to see that Mr C.Sieders will take the reins of #19 at Queensland Raceway, to get some miles for the enduros.

#13 is being fettled for Mr Fisher, for Bathurst and Homebush according to MeN

Is this series dead, dying or just in a lean year aka 2005? There was consistently only 20-22 cars that year as well I think.

I don't think the series is dying. It is a lean year as the sponsorship is tough to get with the Global Financial Crisis. Even a name like Moffat is struggling to get from one round to the next. I think next year will be better (numbers wise).

I have a question for all you out there. The 49 car of Ben McCashney, can someone advise me of the chassis they are using for this. Is it the ex. BJR car that is shown for sale here. Or the ex. Larkham car for sale here or the ex. SBR car (Ingall's original car).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you're right. It is a great series and one that I really enjoy watching. Some great talent also.

For those interested, the #42 car for Shane Price is in the truck on the way, but as far as I know, Drew Russell won't be racing. Car may be there, have no idea, but not with Drew steering.

No. Drew will not race on the weekend. But if all goes according to plan, he will be at Bathurst and Homebush. Shame really - I thought he would've made a great enduro driver. Ah well, maybe next year...
