Michigan 400 Thread

Dario secures pole at a circuit he's very familiar with.

Dixon has to battle his way up from 6th. Chance for Dario to run away again for a bit? Though very little team mate support today it would seem.

deejay has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Not much chance to run away at Michigan. Good qualifying car also doesn't mean a good race car here. I think it's pretty wide open in the top ten.

Not sure what happened to Herb. Manning fairly low down, as it Marco. Scott Sharp qualified well. But i feel the grid will not give true
reflection of the race, My moneys still on Dixon again. Wheldon as rear
gunner will be up there too i feel.

There's a thing. Wheldon and Dixon are not known as good buddies, so exactly how much support Dixon will get is certainly not a given. Wheldon obviously isn't completely out of it albeit a very unlikely champion - but better with the street circuits gone.

I think the top 3 here will be the chief fighters unless any of the AGR's have fixed their set-up.

That was nice of him

Anyway, track is wet and rain is forecast for all day. Possible non-starter today

Delayed start already declared.

Dixon was in a sort of limbo at the last race last season. He still had a chance at the title after all, IIRC.

So quite how convincingly he was covering Dan I am not so sure!

This is irritating. I was wanting to watch the race before going out...

Oh, well, taping it may be then.

Has it been called off yet?

The TSN feed was scheduled to finish at 1230, and this it did. So now it is hours of nothing/advertising. It was being shown on TSN-A (alternative channel, rather than main channel), thus I am annoyed they have not extended their coverage (if the race has not been called, that is).

This is annoying. Oh, well, there is NASCAR TSN normal channel and WSB on Speed.

WSB it is.

Race will air on ESPN Classic at 4PM EDT

IMS Radio Network + In Car Video will be on indycar.com , I believe they're working on getting the ability to show full video coverage because of the move.

There's also reports that there will be full video coverage on ESPNClassic.com

Earlier I did - once you're in, don't let it go! It seems unsurprisingly, very busy.

Bugger, I just cant get in.

I'm currently got ESPN's race cast up http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/irlracecast/racecast and listening the IMS network.

Have to say the race cast is actually quite good.

Good call there. I've been meaning to just relax and listen to a racecast for any series, actually. Especially since the metropolitan L.A. area doesn't get as much as an IMS/MRN/PRN affiliate. (Technically there's an MRN affiliate in Santa Monica, but it's a bit hard to get the AM frequency from where I'm at. And it's only race broadcasts and not full-fledged programming.)
