JimboCycling should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I really enjoyed the race, even if the safety cars do feel unnecessary!

Has anyone else ever wondered if there is a bit of acrimony between SRO and radiolemans? GTWC barely ever gets a mention on midweek motorsport, and I feel like they sometimes refer to a driver 'racing in another series' rather than referring to GTWC directly. Might just be me, I just find it a shame as I like RLM as pundits and would be interested in their views on GTWC.

Yeah there does seem to be a determination for SRO to do everything in house. RLM, along with Mr Goodwin did do a Spa 24 commentary session a few years back and it was excellent.

I think it's more SRO than RLM/DSC/Racer to be honest. They seem like a very closed shop in that regard.

To be honest, why would SRO change the team that does comms all season for just the Spa 24 ?

Last year regular commentators David Addison and John Watson were joined by Bob Varsha for the daytime shifts, with Charlie Butler-Henderson and Martin Haven taking over at night. Dakota Jane and Ryan Myrehn as pit reporters. All very well known in the SRO paddocks, so there's no point in SRO hiring others to do Spa.

IIRC the RLM broadcast some years ago was also done independently, with drivers coming into the media center to sit next to Graham and go on air.

I'd be changing Mr Watson full time anyway. He's gone full old man crazy the last few years. With Addison having to play the sane one.

I confess I got a bit fed up with Wattie getting the places wrong. 'He's up into second' Hmm, I think it might be third......

It does not matter how "crazy" John Watson gets. He is the god of SRO GT racing. If he is removed from commentary before he dies then there should be rioting on the streets of La Source and Raidillon Eau Rouge.

SRO have released the GT World Challenge Europe calendar for 2021, more normal looking calendar, couple of TBA venues. Presume the Endurance round the week after Brands Hatch sprint will be Silverstone but thats not confirmed.

Wouldn't be a race without a lap 1 safety car, wouldn't it?

Every other car looks like it’s been in a 15 lap touring car battle royal but the race winning #54 Porsche Looks pristine, you wouldn’t even know it had been in a race! Dominant performance,

Was an entertaining race, apart from the first lap incident. The Porsche deserved the win, considering it kept out of trouble, the drivers didn't do significant mistakes and they also drove away from everyone at the safety car restarts.

Out of all the cars, the only contenders on pace seemed to be the #32 Audi, especially with Dries at the wheel, but they got that penalty.

The race was good when there was racing.

The Safety Car after Yellow rule still sucks (and I'm going to repeat that until they abandon it), as there was absolutely no need for it.

Not impressed by some of the driving standards though.
How many cars in the top 15 - apart from the winner - did not have any contact with another cars, be it as an aggressor or a victim?
How many times was the #63 Lamborghini assaulted? Did anyone keep track?

Surprised they didn't call in the Bentley while they did do it for #33 Audi.

Rigon vs Haase was particularly entertaining until Davide flipped his lid and tried to barge the Audi off the track! The ensuing puncture was probably vindication!
