Pi vs Stack

Which of the 2 dash systems would you go for and why??
Pi Research System 2 or a STACK ST8100

I've got both these and wondering which to use in the super tourer....
also where could i find a manual/software on the System 2??

The System 2 has been discontinued by Pi. It has been replaced by the Omega dash range. The most suitable would be the Omega D2 the feature set is similar to the Stack ST8100 and has options for 5Hz GPS. The GPS option can be specified and replaces the functionality of the wheelspeed sensors and the IR lap beacon for a plug-and-play system. A red backlight makes alarms (oil pressure, water temperature etc.) very visible. The shift light module is detachable so it can be placed in a more convenient position. There are various upgrade paths to add thermocouples, damper pots, steering sensors etc.

Please check your PMs.

Cheers!

Oddly, I actually have BOTH PI and Stack (long story).

I have the PI Omega with the Compact logger in my race car and the Stack dash with an external logger in my kit car.

I like both systems but they are quite different.

The base Stack software is better than the base PI software. However upgrade the PI software to Toolbox and it is streets ahead.

I prefer the Omega dash to the Stack but it isn't so street friendly hence the kit car has a Stack in it.

Both systems do the job. Both are upgradeable. In my opinion PI just has the edge on support and expandibility, Stack has the edge on user friendliness.
