Unless they've borrowed Washington's other car.
Washington only has one Lambo, and I can't see Team Lamborghini Australia racing a Porsche!

Gallardo is having fuel flow problems. Typical New-Caritis stuff. Believe it was excluded from P1 due to some problems with the Dorian timer.

Was third fastest though, did about a 29.1 in the session.

sounded nice, but nothing will top the 360GT mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

good turn out, just needed a viper or two out there. I was also expecting the Diablo GTR out there as hackett wants to chase the 07 series? maybe hiding from the Gallardo after all natrad racing have turned theres around in less than a week

How do they look ? The Corvette and Maserati Trofeo I mean. How do the Vipers( that was Crick and Russell cars) look there In Adelaide? That Diablo must sound good-eh? How about the 33 plus cars. The question is for DRT -- he seems to be able to come up with the excuses. While your at it what were were the TBA's? So what was listed was what-- 37 ?? What have we got?

30 cars and drivers were listed on the entry list. Unsure where the cars you listed are, maybe Richard or someone at the track might have the information.

That said considering its Thursday, some of the participants might have commitments mid week, Friday Qualifying might give a better representation.

All in all though silver, a championship with such "narrow" eligibility guidlines to have 26 cars is encouraging.

I hope you enjoy the racing

Twenty something cars is a good field. We all know there are good cars on the way, we also know teams that run in this series are often self-sponsored entries, so of course there will always be entries that are no shows.

Whats the big deal ? If the teams had supercar budgets then no-shows would be a different story.

I hope at some stage in the year we see a Viper, we see a JB Ferrari, we see a Team Lambo Gallardo.. but the field at this point, will put on a good show at Clipsal anyway.

Teaming with the V8Supercars as a support category for the Clipsal 500..should really help the numbers. As against their last outing at the A1GP with a very modest crowd in attendance. The very big crowd and TV coverage will be good for sponsors and the drivers.

well at least 2 will be putting on a show going by the times

can we blame development for the 430 and gallardo (understandably) being so much slower than the 997 cup's

That kind of exposure can't be bought, is great for the series to be in front of the supercar crowd. I remember being in the stand at Adelaide the last year of Nations Cup, it was a small field, but the interest in the Lambo and Ferrari 550 was huge. Hopefully this outing will attract more supporters to GT racing in Oz!

Qualifying in Adelaide see another victom of that "great racing driver" Teulan as he uses the Kevin Miller Ferrari 430 to shunt Keith Wong out of the session. Ferraris must be attracting other cars as Hector Lestor in Dave Stevens 430 caved in the side of Kirschners GT 3 Cup.Haven' even got to race yet!
Good effort from David Wall to put in pole-- now he can drive a car! And he did not hit half the field in the process.

The " big deal" is the persistent misrepresentaion by series management that cars are running when the owners of the cars have made no such commitment. It is more of a wish list by them-- it is then used to justify their own inadequete performance. Similarly when the "sign" a sponsor to a 2 cent deal and it is puported to be a big deal. All to sell their performance to the naive.

Top 3 in qualifying Wall, Simonsen and Washingon. Followed by Hector Lester and John Tuelan.

Conspicuous by their absence were Hackett and Crick.

Silver is it misrepresentation by series management if cars are entered and teams do not turn up. It might just be me but that lays at the feet of the team not management.

Gee Silver, I guess V8supercar misrepresented the public because Paul Radisich isn't running at Clipsal... he was meant to be... ah, but he has a legitimate reason..

As for GT Series, I'm sure Crick has a legitimate reason for not being there, as would TLA because their new car hasn't arrived. These things can't be helped.

Besides, who cares, move on mate, enjoy the racing between the three marques @ the front of the field, I for one am looking forward to it.
