I also saw a topic on a rather, ahem... large sim forum, and someone posted some photos of brands and then the comparision in RACE.

Totally Different.

Simbin have announced RACE07.

It would appear to be to RACE what TOCA2 was to TOCA.

It's a 2007 season update to the FIA WTCC, plus adds Formula 3000, Formula BMW and Radical racing.

I read about this a while back, but would like to know if it'll take advantage of DX10.

I'd like to see SimBin titles take a step up from GTR2/RACE.

DIRT for example looks stunning, as does Forza 2, GT HD etc.

Looks more like an update to RACE only from the screens.

Shame it looks like they've missed a trick - when they could have added STCC & BTCC perhaps (licencing permitting) to really add something to the game - half the car models are there already - just add circuits!

Haven't simbin got some new game engine, called Lizard or something? I know very little about it though.

Whether they're gonna use it for RACE07, i don't know... i hope so.

Lizzard looks nice, though the old engine is awful imo.

The Caterham Expansion pack and two extra tracks (Estoril & Imola) have been launched today.

If you have RACE, make sure you reconnect to Steam and run the game before the end of the week and it'll prompt you if you want to download this update for FREE! (after that, you'll need to pay for it!).
