reminds me of a Portuguese team in the National Championship. A young French-Portuguese Joffrey Didier, is driving a Lotus Evora GT4 with the wife of the main sponsor's owner, who drives a GT3 Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 for the team also

Not a bad race despite there being just the 12 cars! The race was quite good in the 1st half but once the pit stops came around the race kind of dulled down a bit!

I thought that track was terribly tight for these cars. Some decent bits in the first half though.

Not very impressed overall though.

I watched it and honestly cannot comprehend how can it be physically possible to lose that much time during one lap of Zolder circuit without spinning twice. I'd love to see the telemetry of that! Maybe she dropped her purse under the left pedal or something?

That was hilarious Every time that Lambo appeared on the screen it had the comical effect of the Robin from Mr. Bean.

Great race overall though.

Im really disappointed that the series has taken such a bit hit in car numbers this year. 28 full time entries last year 11 (i think) this year. Blancpain and strong national series (ie ADAC GT) have taken away teams from what was a really good series in 2011. The Pro-Am lineup and sprint format created some entertaining racing.

I prefer the sprint races to Blancpain i think

The grid in FIA GT3 was always going to take a big hit when Le Rat decided to make FIA GT1 just another plain old GT3 series, he is his own worst enemy, now instead of 1 solid GT3 grid we have two series with small grids.

Fia GT3 european championship to adopt GT1 system for next year:

"For the FIA GT3 European Championship, the objective of promoters is to adopt the same philosophy as the FIA's GT1 arena, thereby having one two-car team per brand. This ideology would promote consistency throughout the FIA's GT1 World and GT3 European titles."

Yep that's right, I tried to read 2010, I didn't notice that said 2011. Last GT1 was from Matech time.

Well, by now fia GT3 maybe dead, but i dont' see a GT alternative lastly, and seems the big brands won't waste too much on GTE, more than new american sponsored viper. I think you are selling too early the bear pelt before hunting it, by now the only hazard to GT1 is the BES, the wec GTE is far ahead, till august GT1 is well alive.

The one team per brand rule is ridiculous. A six-brand, 24-car GT1 championship would be cool. Plus it would make teams easier to find a car.

in 2011 ILMC regulamentation, heavy detuned gt1 cars were allowed only in gt-am, but none entered in the 24h of le mans (and other races of ILMC).

It's more a problem of a team with that funds for an international rounds, than to find the 10th car, there exist lots of GT3 cars eligible, but Ratel Slightly complicates a little his life with 2cars*brand, but not much (now he has 9) and has more car/brand variety.

Everything would have been easier if Schubert had entered BMW, heico SLS, prodrive AM and Manthey porsche, forcing other teams to carry a Ford, a Maserati, a Corvette GT3 a GTR or a Camaro.

They cannot be serious right? Ok lets have five teams for next year....

Ratel really needs to drop this two car per brand crap, this aint F1 its sportscar racing, its a tad different.
