Appears a few of the Australian V8 utes have deported to New Zealand.

Probably failed their good character test.

Looks like these 'super' utes are the closest thing to production cars as you'll get. Mimicking their road going counterparts to a tee.

Pity Toyota is the only manufacturer that offers a 4L V6 petty. This would a been a faster and cheaper way to go.

Or alternatively, the greatest gap betweent first to ninth:

SuperUtes first to ninth: 11 seconds
Improved Production first to ninth: 3 seconds
Super2 first to ninth: 0.8 seconds
Touring Car Masters first to ninth: 3 seconds
Carrera Cup first to ninth: 1.6 seconds.

so you're comparing the top half/third of each field for all but utes. And then excluding the cars that had issues at the back

So 1.7 seconds for the utes for the top half (5 cars)

Haven't verified but supposedly laptimes were faster than V8Utes first entry at Adelaide?

Speedcafe says the fastest time in the first ever V8 Utes session was 1:48.1, with their fastest ever lap being 1:36.6 in 2016. I didn't realize there had been that much of an increase in pace - what area was all the development in with those cars?

Doesnt even compare. At least you have spectacle with the Stadium trucks. With the SuperUtes its like watching a bunch of tradies duelling in peak hour and one doesnt have to be trackside to see that.

We both know why you choose 9, just to bag out the utes

But still no matter what gap from first to last was the least of all the fields

Also the gap between an v8 ute and a super ute is also less than the gap between a GT3 and Gt4 which are also racing against each other this weekend

funnily enough an old v8 ute is about the same pace as a whiz bang gt4

I reckon at half distance in the Super ute race they send out the Stadium trucks.

Not entirely true, I chose Top 9 because that's the number that hit the track in the first session. And to bag the utes out. Luckily in the second session there is a Top 10, and the difference between first and tenth was 16 seconds.

I don't get it, what's your fascination with V8 Utes and GT cars? No one else mentioned cars from different categories, just SuperUte v SuperUte.

you mentioned cars from a different category racing this weekend when you listed all of them, except one (funnily enough)

That all I was doing as well. Audi Gt3 vs Audi Gt4 Practise one 20 seconds first to last by the way. the one category you didnt add information from (9.9574 1st to 9th)

Why you being so sensitive about Gt cars
