Foxtel is not much use though, it really needs to be free-to-air TV.

I'm referring to the low grids in the existing V8 Utes class that ran at PI.

It was an exhibition meeting.

If it were for points, you'd have gotten a bigger grid.

15-20, from memory.

No doubt the buy-in price is a lot cheaper now.

Supercars have a history of rulesets they've proposed getting delayed, this SuperUtes delay is par for the course (they'd hope)

I'm pretty sure there was going to be a prototype doing laps at Clipsal this year. Well, until it got delayed....

After watching the stadium trucks today. Kill the super ute series and expand the trucks, much more exciting.

Does a 747 transporter carry the Super Trucks between US and Aus?

Different beast. 12 trucks out there at $250K each. (compared to what is hoped $100K and 20 plus utes)

Stadium trucks are sports "entertainment" (their words) they are like a replacement for V8 challenge or or for motorbike stunts

Where as Super utes are a racing series

So the Ute series is not entertainment?

Didn't Tony Cochrane always tell us that V8Supercars were entertainment first?

Hence the way the category has gone since 1997? Entertainment driven, rather than competition driven?

Well we don't know yet do we - because it hasn't run yet.

Clearly both the utes series and stadium trucks are entertainment, just different forms of entertainment or focus / detail on how they run.

THis comment exactly.

Racing is entertainment or suppose to be. The Trucks are both racing and entertainment. They arnt drift cars or motorbikes they are racing and jumping and had everyone in awe (what i saw) anyway this new ute series Im sure will be as boring as batsh*t

I hope you prove me wrong.
