Re the Terry Sanger Trophy the latest news from Castle Combe suggests that the Autumn Classic organisers are organising the race themselves . In the latest bulletin today they mention that as there are now over a hundred eligible saloons in this country they are hoping to attract a grid of thirty cars . No mention of a specific organiser though .

GTSCC 60 minute race is late afternoon, with Q late morning. There is a timetable but can’t see on the website...... |

To complete the programme Mike , Autumn Classic regulars HSCC Formula Junior and VSCC Pre War Sports Cars feature and are joined by a Healeysport run race which will be run to the regulations of the old Austin Healey Club championship , meaning Austin Healey 100s and 3000s taking on the modified Sprites now taking part in MGCC Spridget championship . The race will be run in memory of Austin Healey guru Phil Broster .
Sadly no 500cc Formula Three race and the Aston Martin race has moved ( to Silverstone ? ) but it still looks a very attractive programme headed hopefully by another large GTSCC field . |

Iain, if you click on it (on a PC) it should get bigger - as the bishop said to the actress.
If you right click you should be offered a number of other options related to saving the file, printing and so on. If that doesn't work for you just say and we can sort something. Not sure about your options via a mobile device. |

This meeting is just up the road from me but I've never been! Sadly it clashes with work elsewhere

Think I may have to plead not guilty to that. We used Cortinas, it was Thruxton used Sierras.
It was a long time ago, some of the latest "classic" grids were current - aaagh! Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk |

Hope the current BBC weather forecast is wrong or it will be three wet classics in a row.

Mmm, didn’t really want to know that! Brands Hatch two weeks ago was bearable because we were in garages, but no such luxury this weekend. Wellies and umbrella at the ready......

If you think I’m taking a 16.5 metre artic to Combe with one car for one day, you’ve got another think coming! Just the difference in fuel cost will pay for one night in the local Premier, and probably supper as well.
Forecast is now even worse- heavy rain all day....... |

I had a great day . Our young hot shoe wonFJ race . I managed P11 and that was after a little shunt this morning . All five of our cars returned unscathed so happy days . There still seemed to be lots of spectators so I hope it was a worthwhile race meeting for the organisers .Now in local curry house having dried off .

It was great to see everyone, and I too, am sorry, Iain, that we couldn't chat more. I managed also to catch up with John (Brands), Marcus, briefly before he rushed off for commentating duties & Paul Lawrence, who now that I've moved, is a relatively near neighbour but failed to find either Colin McKay or Mike Bell which was frustrating. In between my FISCAR duties, I also managed to take some photos of the first 5 races (up to and including FISCAR) so will try to get some up on here soon particularly as John kept his camera dry. I thought both the racing and the quality of the driving was pretty damn good considering the conditions, and although the track began to dry mid afternoon, it remained really greasy and it's not surprising that there were a number of offs. I think our FISCAR drivers did us proud and just wish we could get that many out at some of our other races.
