Such a shame. Hopefully Coates & Bond will get a chance to move up into the BTCC next year.

MINI grid ATM seems to be about 30, and with the move to the TOCA package should be a similarly high number.

Harvey said it himself, it’s not for TOCA to slow down the BMWs, it’s for the other teams to catch up. Subaru, Toyota, Honda all seem to have lost pace since 2018. Subaru has an unspecified straight line speed issue, Toyota is a new car and it looks a bit all over the place, Honda FK8 doesn’t seem as fast as the FK2 and dynamics are frequently beaten by their sister team.

If there was a pace review of the RWD cars I would say make them lower the rear wing by 1-2 inches. Not sure if anyone recalls but Rob Austin Racing and WSR battled to raise and push back the rear wing in around 2013, citing a lack of rear downforce (RWD cars always want more rear DF).

the old Civics of AMD outperform many of the newer cars so it's indeed like the field have gone backwards

Recovery team really making a meal of Goff’s car. It’s obvious it needs to be lifted. Why are they trying to drag / tow it?

Well the new BMW's seem to be rather better than everyone else so lets see if they get some sort of adjustment soon to keep the racing more level.

They were the class of the field at Oulton last year as well with a 1,2,3 in race 3.

It's a very hard track to overtake unless you've got a big advantage.

I think the Snetterton will show their true pace. BMWs always go well at Oulton, but Snett's mix of straights, slow and fast corners doesn't really give any car an advantage. If they're still 1-2 there with max weight, then a chance is very much needed.

Think it's pretty much in the bag for Turkington's 4th title this year.

---

Hill on R3 pole from Neal & Cook. BMWs will start 11th \ 12th.

I caught the end of the replay of Smith’s MG incident, what caused it?

Or maybe BMW's rivals should work a bit harder.

Nevertheless, we haven't seen such a dominance for quite some time in the BTCC. The last time was probably 2014, a year of... BMW and Turks!

Looked like Crees moved over and turned him round. I'd guess he'll get a penalty for that.

Just rewound to watch it in slo-mo. Crees didn't move. Smith drove into him.

That's true, however given a difficult first half of the season, it's hard to compare Sutton's half-year dominance to BMW this year as they have been dominating since day one basically.

They gave Hawkey an interview after finishing 9th in the Porsche race as well.

Hopefully Hill will avoid Neal's front bumper and get a good finish in this one.
