BRANDS HATCH MASTERS FESTIVAL
GP circuit so usually well supported.
Also the UK round of the Formula Junior Lurani Trophy and HSCC HF2 championships. |

Highlight for me- only chance to see HF2 this year. No Classic in 2020 - my suggestion of Silverstone as a great place to celebrate 50 years of marriage was not met with enthusiasm. I confess I could see the point. Eventually.

Yep, love this event. I'll make both days, watching qualy on the loop Saturday and South Bank pm, all over the place on Sunday! Quite a reasonable entry given the current situation.

Have to be honest s aw the entry and it was a lot of stuff I saw at Donington a few weeks earlier for almost half the price, plus with the recent Loop changes I decided against it, don't think I will be doing much spectating this year, cant be arsed with the pre-event booking etc, much prefer to go with the flow and rock up.

I went up yesterday to see Delta and to watch a bit of practice, however I don't think that this will be out at the weekend after an off at Paddock bend !

Easily the best meeting of the year for me and outstrips last weekends Thruxton festival by a mile for the same admission price if you needed to pay. Healthy crowd of appreciative people today, some of the grids have obviously suffered a little with the pandemic but not so with 'Equipe Classic' grid which consisted of 50 cars on the start line! Mixed bag of weather but no complaints from me, back tomorrow for more!
BTW Gordon, the Falcon didn't make the grid unsurprisingly! |

Lovely first day at Brands.
Treat seeing the 49 FXN E Type being peddled. More info on the car here; https://youtu.be/dek5n3WiFew Great seeing a Six Wheel Tyrrell for the first time. Just hoping one day we can get all the top regulars in historics all on one grid in HF1 etc. |

Got to say really enjoyed yesterday at Brands, all things considered the grids were healthy in all the groups and the racing i seen was was as close and hard but fair as normal.
Anyway heres my vid from the day if anyone interested, sorry no footage from the Equipe Classic or Pre-66 Touring Cars as had to leave early. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9C7j3vYadFg |

Great day on Saturday - as has already been mentioned the grids were surprisingly strong given the current situation. Close racing throughout too and the showers made things 'interesting' for the drivers I'd imagine!

Really enjoyed Sunday's part of the meeting. A relaxed schedule, decent weather, some lovely cars and a decent sized crowd. Both Masters & MSV deserve credit for what they achieved.

Nice to see a pic of the Purley LEC CRP81 car. Also the 6 wheeler is always good to see, and the Leyton House car was always one of the better looking F1 cars imo. Loved the livery.

We followed the Arrows truck down through France and Spain and Portugal to Estoril and Jerez for the '89 GP's with Eddie Cheever and Derek Warwick driving (the cars not the truck!. One of those bizarre situations where we stopped several times only to overtake them again whilst they plodded on.
