Alan Cherry should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
LYDDEN SAT 21st May

Can I just thank all the Marshalls at the post at Devils Elbow ( & Doc) for extracting me from the car,and getting the car down from the tyre wall without further damage -much appreciated .Lame excuse is that the car jinked to the right when I braked, putting twowheels on the grass, and I became a passenger. Damage not too bad (I'm lucky) should be out again for croix, and the Lydden meeting after.
Once again thanks
Alan

Glad to hear that you were OK and the car not too bad. I was marshaling at the startline and looked across to the opposite straight to see you seemingly hurtle past the braking point and into the trye wall right by Post 5 (the Elbow). I hope you can get the car fixed and look forward to seeing you again (hopefully with better luck next time!).

It certainly looked dramatic. Glad to hear that you are ok and that there's not too much damage to the car.

Having hit the same tyre wall (a few years ago now), I certainly winced when I saw you go in, but pleased to hear you and the car are fit to fight another day.

Glad you are ok, and that the car will be out again soon. From post 4 it looked dramatic. It also gives me a chance to post my first message, so greetings one and all.

Welcome Stu - On the way home I calculated that the average age on post 4 was 58. Makes me feel much.......average.

Yes, a big "Hi" to RamblinStu - now let me guess - you don't perchance have a liking for the guitar?

Pete, you never been average!!!!

As 1 of the post 5 marshals, I was too busy taking cover, all I heard was a thud, and looking up seeing you on your side. Still at least I didnt have to run far, unlike the last accident I dealt with at Lydden..... Glad you and car ok, and hope to see you soon, staying on the black bit.
