Only 888 and DJR have single naming rights sponsor for both cars this year.
Would have to be the lowest number in the last 30 years. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Team Sydney has both cars painted the same for now.
But yes, shows that it's hard for a lot of sponsors to justify the cost of 2 cars. |

Read it about five times , tell me my learned friend, how does shane bashing the curbs , and break the upright , have anything to do with heat, yet the said vehicle win 1000km race ,

The heat issue has been publicised with multiple power steering failures - the pump overheats and starts binding the rack and associated suspension components. So it did have a relationship to SVG's shock failure at the ADL500. BJR, MSR, Team Sydney/TEKNO and WAU have been fighting the issues all year

Odd the Mustang didn't get the same tweak since parity was the "closest it's ever been" and subsequent changes last year have made the two models even closer...

Think I saw in the article that Mustang already had a similar vent. They must have focused on external / performance aero & not considered additional cooling needs until it was obvious they were needed. |

So this duct is supposed to try and allay those cooling issues and if it does that then it saves the teams money in less failures etc. This is a good thing and yet all I see elsewhere are fans complaining about Holden being given another tweak. These are the same idiots that complain about costs being too high in the category. The irony in these fans complaining about a aero tweak that is supposed to help teams avoid known technical failures is just laughable. Just goes to show how stupid the fanbase is. The Mustang doesn’t have those issues because no doubt it’s a different designed aero package to suit and one of the advantages of the design appears to be cooling. How is this simple concept not understood? |

Spot on.
It's a reliability aide, not a performance one. Back to your caves, people. |

Bit of click bait on Speedcafe's part calling it an "aero tweak"

I guess they need something to keep news going, even it's a minor thing like that

So AIR flowing into the wheel arch has no effect on downforce...

Of course, but it’s not the main bit of downforce on the car. It does help though

These very same tit for tat arguments on the advantage of aero/suspension/chassis tweeks being fair/unfair or favouring one manufacturer have been going on since the year dot and will no doubt continue ad infinitum. I'm pretty sure they are fuelled by the two major combatants as a PR excercise.

Hopefully the Mustang can do the business. We’ll see what tweaks it can come up with

Speedcafe reporting that Gisbergen has had some surgery, after a mountain bike accident.
Hopefully he won’t miss the Sandown round. |

Barry goes off again
According to AA article. Barry claims the previous engineers and drivers don't work as a team and they all had big egos. ( Barry was the other engineer with the absence of Mr McV.)

What a very very immature statement. My thoughts of the EX Penrite racing team are now diminishing. |
