Hmm, which cheeky part timers ducked out now?

Murray's back...no WTCC clash means Jones should be there.

So is it Pockles or Kerry?

Is Leason "ill" again this weekend?

edit: my hunch was correct
Quote:
Leason has put his Lexus drive in The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on hold as the Team try to make the cars reliable and vows he will return. Leason has unfortunately struggled this year with reliability problems with the Lexus as Team BTC Racing try to develop the cars to be competitive.

Leason added “Unfortunately it has not gone our way and has got to the stage were I just can’t continue the way it is and it made me see that when I had to miss Oulton Park due to illness. We still have major issues with engines and its reliability through the race weekend and sadly it is just not viable financially or practically for me to continue until we have solved this problem. It is so easy to want to take part every round as it is such a great championship and you just want to be part of it, but we need to get the car to the finish and it is just so frustrating for the whole Team every time it is parked up in the pit garage as we have all worked so hard to be here on the grid.. The team will continue to work hard to resolve this which they hope to do by continuing to try to run Chris and concentrate on one car. I vow I will return, and hopefully soon if we can get it right!

On the funny side the press release going out on Friday 13th goes well with the luck I have had this season, but I do look forward to it changing and for the better……”

Leason will still be attending this weekend at Donington for rounds 16/17/18.

Yep, Leason is suspending his program as the team 'still have major issues with engines and its reliability through the race weekend and sadly it is just not viable financially or practical for me to continue until we have solved this problem'. BTC will focus on development and run just Stockton for a couple of races.
Rick Kerry has diff problems, needs a full rebuild which is unlikely to be completed in time, he could still make it but he 'needs a miracle'

Turner's picked up some pace for SEAT though. He's only 0.068 behind with 12m to go.

Title protaganists Plato & Giovanardi aren't even in the top 10 at the moment.

Red flagged now though. From the look of the laptimes, might be Shedden that's caused it?

Red flag - didn't notice that. Even Erkut is ahead of Gio at this moment.

And also Ferrier I would have thought would be ahead of Allison and Jones. Time will tell if he manages it.

Wow, shocker for VXR. Giovanardi's in 16th, which will become 15th as Chilton has failed his weight check !

Seat will be breathing a (relative) sigh of relief. I thought this was Gio's big chance to capitalise on Seat's weakness.

Shedden has pole (hey got that right in predictions!), so I think Halfords may well have established themselves as race winners again..

Not good for VX at all, Gio starts 15th and Chilton's been sent to the back after failing a weight check.

Quite possibly, should make for some good racing tomorrow, especially since apparently its going to be a wet race
Big well done to Erkut in 12th place, ahead of the new Vauxhalls

The Astra did run well here last year - probably the only place it did. Maybe the Veccy's just aren't Donington friendly.

At least Gio can partially blame the car - Plato was half a second slower than Turner. Great effort from Adam Jones, he's really doing a good job when he's out there.

Thats a good point Hazard, Gio would have won last year if it wasn't for Turkington and Turk himself got his first Astra pole here in '04, still a good performance for Erkut though
At least it's not too much of a disaster for SEAT, if they were going to be slow here they really needed Vauxhall to suffer too

Giovanardi had engine problems, and I believe Chilton qualified P5 before being disqualified.

Sixth I thought, but you may be right, at least that explains Gio's lack of pace, should have a good charge tomorrow then
