I'm afraid there's only one correct answer to this question. Lewis Hamilton with one of the best drives of his career, and probably the best drive of the season.

Kimi.
Just kidding - Hamilton. If ever a weekend showed off the skills he has, it was this one. Funny to think that in 2002 I sat and watched him race (although I was there for the BTCC) at Donington in FRenault. Two old boys sitting next to us told us that "this boy is something special, he'll be in F1 soon and he's got championships in him". We didn't know much about him then and sort of nodded, that's interesting... But he was, is, continues to be. I wonder where those old boys are now? |

No doubt about it: Lewis Hamilton. He was in a class of his own. Not just for his speed, but also for clean passes (lots of them!), keeping his head up when it would have been easy to feel defeated, and maturely handling the give-way-or-we-crash defending at Curva do Sol.

Hamilton by a country mile. If ever a DOTR decision encompassed a whole GP weekend it was this one. Quite superb. Not entirely sure there was massive kudos to Max, second place was a gimme for him. And he was second by 10 seconds to the guy who started at the back of the sprint race. One of Lewis' best drives.

Agreed one of lewis' best drives.
My immediate reaction post race though was that this is two drivers driving superbly and puttting on a great show. Overall though, i do like how Max' racecraft is improving and he made the right call when he calmly told his that they couldn't afford to let Merc use the undercut on him again. He sounds less excitable in the car these days? But none of this was meant to take away from LH. |

As much as I hate to say it and as much as i wanted Max to win, DOTR was Lewis hands down. Just great stuff. From both of them.
Really hope the new regulations make a difference in racing, because if things stay the same, we're going to be watching these two slug it out until Hamilton retires. Perez and Bottos are just nowhere compared to these two. Max and Lewis are just on a different level than the rest of the field. This may go down as one of the best seasons yet. Just great stuff watching these two go at it. |

Lewis it is. Overcoming a 25 grid place penalty, in his words. Unbelievable. He is something else, and remembered to thank Valtteri as he was let by. I'm not a Lewis fan, but this was one of the best drives ever.
Some other really good efforts by Gasly. Marko hates him, so he will never be in a RB car again, but he truly can race, and qualify. Really well done by Carlos and Charles as well. But, I mean. Lewis. Just amazing. |

Just a pedantic moment - the grid penalties amounted to 24 places.

One just gets the impression that, when liberated, no matter how temporarily, from the need for "caution" to avoid losing out, Lewis can find some additional breadth of abilities that distance him from almost all of the rest. For now.
An astonishing weekend. If it was scripted on Netflix (other content providers are available) no one would believe it. |

Thanks for pointing that out, many have said 25 including Lewis, and it's been winding me up. I didn't dare be the one to point it out as I already have a reputation for pedantry. |
