redtop raiders should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
it shows me in a different class because i only entered CDMC championship running standard 2 litre,
also it should show Graham Hall, Glenn Guthrie and Garry Coxon in CDMC championship for super modified

Just back from Blyton, have to say although not the biggest of entry, the racing was good.

Blyton does look a lot different, the bank that was on the the old runway that ran parallel to the track behind post 2 has all gone as has the earth bank where Steve Hill rolled last year. The paddock is back to where it used to be.

Don't know how the back straight was to drive with half of it being asphalt and the rest the old runway.

What happened to Michael Boak ?

Good to see Revivals 1-2 in the MiniX and Shelley taking runners-up in the SuperFinal.

Michael had head gasket issues after a very promising practice, would have been nice to see him complete a few heats as he was well up on the pace.

John Wood's new MR2 is looking very good aswell, especially with being totally standard at present.

Shame about Dave Black's astra, looks like the shell might be salvagable but engine snapped off the cam pully's etc.. so dont know what damage has been done inside.

I think all round it was a good weekend, apart from a couple of mishaps, most people got away with minor issues and put on a good days racing.

that won't have done the internals any favours, assuming it's a 20XE then pistons and valves will be toast, the head will more than likely be damaged, valve guides probably damaged (at least - that's what happens with cam belt failure so I can't imagine it's going to be any less severe with the pulleys ripped off). The block might be ok though (typically the cheap bit survives )

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Blyton. I may have finished last of the runners again, but it was a great learning experience and the beat up old 205 did me proud. We put some fuel in it after each event and that was it, just sat around waiting to go back out for some more fun. I even enjoyed losing out to John in the B Final as it was a great race sat in his boot for all 5 laps.

Looking forward to a return trip, possibly not till the July meeting though.

Any pictures anyone ?
I understand John has moved to a Mk2.

I used to enjoy racing him in our Mk1s, although he was nearly always quicker. He let me drive his car once at Blyton, it was just so much easier to drive, not like my old beast that tried to pitch you into the undergrowth at every opportunity. Damn I miss that car.

Never enough money or time for any development.

Cracking days racing and great weather! Most impressive had to be the times that martin peters was doing in his saxo his times were competing with the supermods!
Also good to see the stockhatch getting some checks done on them it's been a long time since i saw a diff checker at a rallycross!

They checked the diffs at least three times last year.
