BTW nobody at AMD had the foresight to tell Butcher to just sit back and inherit the win ?!

That was the thought going through my mind.
I guess though Rory didn’t want another win ‘given’ to him. |

How is this a consistent penalty? Cook was deemed at fault for race 2 incident (although admittedly I didn't see this race as the f1 took priority) but kept his 10th place. Surely the same should be applied to Jake, he should keep the race win but get a gird drop for the next round.

Well up to then it was a great finish to BTCC, but suspect unless something happens to stop the bmw's this season is not going to be a classic.

It was obvious Jake is going to get that penalty. One thing I cannot understand. The contact was pretty early in the race. Why wasn't decision taken (announced) during the race so that Hill could serve a drive-through? I mean, it's a bit odd when a guy celebrates his victory after seeing a chequered flag even if almost everyone is convinced he's going to get a penalty. If the stewards couldn't decide it during the race, it'd be better to give him grid drop for another race. |

Okay, thanks for clearing it, I just didn't know that. Still a shame, would be a better feeling for Jelley to really cross the finish line first and less of a heartbreak for Hill and Trade Price.

What happened to Plato’s car? Was it just engine failure or did he crash?

I was at Islands hairpin for the last race where Plato retired his car. Did the TV pick up that he ignored the marshals and went on to the track behind the tyre wall on the outside of the hairpin for about 5 laps? He was making out that he was observing the cornering difference between Collards car and the others, but would going beyond the marshal point be tolerated of any other driver? Not to mention he may distract the eye of drivers cornering - which may have been his tactics. Irresponsible!
And then there was the palava of him thumbing a lift of the warm down lap when Matt Neal stopped and one of the Motorbase cars rear ended him! One rule for Jason and another for everyone else - not setting a great example to young drivers Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk |

All in all driving standards were pretty poor today, I'm expecting about half a dozen drivers to be penalised in some way...?
Hopefully just down to the narrowness of the Oulton layout which I think probably needs a look at in the coming years. |

Did anyone else get the impression from Dan Cammish R2 interview that he seemed to imply he had worked something out about what WSR/BMW were doing for their advantage? |
